Can you buff the Imperial bow?

@yellochicken I think he meant that they are overpowered in vanilla. I made this mod cause at first levels they are so weak.

Bows aren't underpowered in vanilla at all as a matter a fact they are op. If you invest your levels right and use smithing to increase your bows damage as well as wearing a full set of fortify archery it gets pretty insane."

-Yes they are. In the real world, you one shot a full grown Elk when hunting with a bow... I know, I do archery for sport... And I hunt...

does this work for crossbows?

Aye, could you ajust this and your arrow damage mod to ether grant an equal flat damage bonus for all bows/arrows, possibly +5-10 or grant all bows and arrows a set % increase that is the same for all bows, possibly 10-20%. i have read on the arrow version's comments that both these mods will increase the damage on enemies' bows and arrows as well, so i am reluckant to use this mod.

I agree. I noticed this too and was very confused. My long bow does 21 damage but a newly forged imperial bow only does 16? It's a great concept, because bows are seriously underpowered in the game, but it would make more sense to do a flat damage increase to both bows and arrows.

This is good and makes bows as useable as other weapons. The only problem I have with it is the damage bonus is not very balanced across all bows. It reduces bow natural diversity.

What is the point of finding new bows when first longbow is always the best one?

Why should long bows get 20 damage when more expensive hunter bow gets less?

In makes no sense to give a bonus like this. It should be a flat damage bonus to ALL bows. That way they would all scale correctly. This is the same problem with Better Arrows Damage. It adds damage in the wrong amounts for arrow types. Please just add a flat +10 bow damage to everything and it would work out and scale correctly.
