I see your point. Now looking back at it, what I would try is painting the next row of blocks black as well (the one closer to the center of the tank) but leave the outside colored still.

The standard gatling turret is. The rocket launcher turret cannot move up and down, which is stated in the description above.
It could be done. The main gun sits so high above the ground though, I'd be worried it wouldn't be able to hit other vehicles. I don't think I could give the gun verticle movement without taking away from the look of the tank.
