I like the effect, but can't help but feel that it's a little too close to stock muzzle flash on the hitscan-based weapons. I'd suggest making it team-colored.

Great effect! But if you want to stick closer to the name, perhaps add more detail to it, maybe throw in some different colors, and make them kinda explode, that way, it feels more like a firework rather than a sparkler. Just sayin' ╰( . •́ ͜ʖ •̀ . )╯
