to use like custom maps first player needs to go on the map you wanna use locate the name of the map copy it log out of the map when you're on the menu screen enter map space map name when yopu're in the custom map now enter

connect_splitscreen localhost 2

will this work on steam deck

The mod author can't change it, splitscreen is actually in the game but it requires the console, this just makes it easier to access, also pretty sure the owner is VAC Banned so they can't make any changes regardless

This mod works really well for me! Me and my family have been enjoying it for a while now but I just have one problem, you can't change your character. While yes, you can use the command "sb_takecontrol {character}" but that disables the achievement. Is there any way you can update it?

2024, if you want to fix the player 2 can't look up or down issue, type "cmd2 jlook" after setting cheats to 1 like other comments mentioned!

to fix (Gun in mouth problem) just type cl_viewmodelfovsurvivor [number] in dev. console and change the number on any that comfort you. Goodluck!

I just tested it yesterday with 2 xbox series s controllers & yes they do work, the only question I have is for the second player not being able to look up & down but player 1 can

That's more of an issue with the game itself, for some reason it doesn't work with 1 controller and a keyboard, doing anything on a controller that isn't moving or looking around will "assign" the keyboard to that player

Mod can't fix this since the splitscreen is actually in the game normally (requires the dev console), this mod just makes it easier, also I'm pretty sure the person who made this mod is VAC Banned or something

Mod is completely broken and unusable. Works for 5 seconds then keeps putting both controller and M+K onto one screen

For those who can't look up and down with the second controller, type in the console : ''sv_cheats 1'' and after that type : ''cmd2+jlook'' (without the quotes) . It should work like a charm !!

"ss_mapname; wait 100; connect_splitscreen localhost 2" put that in the console, replace mapname with whatever name the custom map has (usually appears on the top right when you open the console)

Is there a way to play custom maps with this mod? I downloaded some maps and I want to play them split screen with my gf but when i click offline co-op it only shows the base maps.

and ofcourse there's a minor typo in my last comment, there's meant to be a space imbetween "sv_cheats" and "1"

Ziege the owners vac'd this is like years old

worst mod ever. been trying to get in to work for hours. had to go in and reconfigure all KandM settings. controller doesnt even work for player to. you cant even use the split screen. TOTAL GARBAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!
