I am not certain of this, but I believe that the amount of minnions have to do with how much space you have, if you have like 20 research props then you'll end up having loads of "researchers", cultits / priests or whatever the overworld resembelence is for the researching.

So if you make sure that the empires rooms aren't exessively high then I am sure you wont have preformance issues, but if you are looking for someone to beta-test your ideas I am up for the task, if it helps make good maps!

I do not have a good PC, it's a decent one, another thing is, you could just put 1-2 gateways, as the gateways have a max.

Perhaps in that version I could replace the Gateways in the central ring with Empire Gateways :)

My concern with Overworld Gateways would be that it increases the Empire population over time. Something that could hit performance in an already quite heavy map. Still if people want to see it I'll take a look at making a "Hard mode" map with more empire units and Empire gateways

Maybe add some empire spawning pools in so you can't just spam them with free units or something, would also make it awesome for those of us who want a mix of empire & underworld creatures :D

Pushing an update, noticed that a bug had caused the southern torture chamber to go freaky. Also added a few additional well of souls to the center of the map.

I think the feedback is telling me this is nice. I might make more in the future ;)

@MWJ: The original version had many more units and defences, I was forced to reduce it on feedback from the QA team that it lagged to high heaven :P

I may consider doing a variant with additional units added back in.
