I actually decompiled ttt_richland and fixed it years ago, back in 2016, but I never recompiled it and released the copy. After testing this map, there are several improvements that can be made to it based on the changes I made:

1. Players killed by traps do not count as being killed by the player who activated the trap. It's possible to set this in Hammer but I can't remember offhand. If I can get the map file to load I'll post a screenshot.

2. The barrel/hammer/tripwire traps all work, but the two laser traps don't work. Would it be possible to get the two laser traps to kill players?

In the original version, in the bath tubs in the bathrooms of the buildings, the soap holder's handle is a complex displacement. Honestly way too unnecessarily fancy. For some reason the C4 explosion would case a crash when placed near those. I replaced them with simple brushes.

Is there a version of this map where you aren't forced to pick up weapons you come across. I say this because I am using it for Hide and Seek, and still pick up weapons

Those spe dm issues can only be fixed in the specdm addon, not in the map itself. Also, the electric trap did nothing in gmod in the original version of the map as well, I didn't want to change anything on the map except for the crash exploit, textures, and major optimizations.

Piece of feedback. It appears the players in spectator DM are able to mess with some of the traps. The tunnel trap that launches barrels can be activated/deactivated with the crowbar in SpecDM. Additionally the electric barrier underneath the renting office appears to do nothing.

Rich did not make the RP version, that was a decompiled edit. There is no complex underground system in this version. There are underground tunnels but nothing I would consider complex.

The RP version also has extensive underground tunnels including a trap and flooding. Does this one include them?

Since Rich also made the RP version, why didn't you choose to update that one for TTT?

Idk about the rp_richland version but on this version of richland you aren't able to get into the skybox unless you noclip there. Also, the pool on the RP version is full of water, this one it is empty. I'm not sure about the other differences.

The server I am a part of uses the massively popular RP_Richland file. If you search for Richland under maps and filter by most subscribed, it's the one at the top. How does this map compare to that one? Is the ability to get into the sky box either removed or is something that can be removed?

Considering i played Gmod from 12-13 (This is my other account, my brother owns my main one now) this map was one of my favorite maps on the Toybox. I miss Toybox :steamsad:

Thanks for reaching out and offering to update this old bird. It's the second map I ever released for this game, and I appreciate the effort you put into getting it up to date. I don't do any mapping these days, so its nice to see this stuff still out in the wild.
