Why the recoil keeps the barrel in place, but bumps down the back end of the gun? It looks very silly

Got it. I know at least that the SKS animation mod I use has no problems with a changed texture.

@Sturm Krahe

-Textures for the stock model should work, but you'd have to model swap either yourself or requesting someone else to do it.
Sturm Krahe 22 Sep, 2016 @ 5:08am
Is this compatible with mods that replace the model/texture on the Sterling?

This isn't actually how you would wield the Sterling since holding it by the magazine will wear out the catch. You would hold it by the barrel.
You should also make this a substitute for all Sterling replacements.
I love what you did though, cheers!

Of course it's similar, there's not much ways to reload the Sterling, but i tell you, the Draw is friggin excellent, it's like the best draw animation i've ever seen. Holy fuk.

So similar to the original animation. It's uncanny. Honestly it looks like you just altered the old one, rather than making your own.

@Balttic

-No problem, i never liked the recoil animations on the famas, topped off with the camera's kick.
smgunsftw 13 Dec, 2015 @ 10:43am
Ah ha okay, thanks for the update then! :platinum:
MzK  [author] 13 Dec, 2015 @ 6:37am
@smgunsftw

I fixed that yesterday, in an update. You can read the patch notes to see it.
smgunsftw 12 Dec, 2015 @ 11:14pm
Yeah I would agree with phale, the firing animations look too forceful, and creates a disadvantage for the user in firefights. It's a 9x19mm, but your animations have more force than the vanilla M4 and M16A4 firing animations :P

Great job on the reload and draw animations though, they look a lot smoother than the vanilla ones.

@MyZombieKillerzTheAnimator but... aw ;-;
MzK  [author] 12 Dec, 2015 @ 7:55am
@Baltic

- Yeah sorry, the SCAR replaces M14.
semen guzzler 12 Dec, 2015 @ 7:38am
@MyZombieKillerzTheAnimator isn't for the AC556?
MzK  [author] 12 Dec, 2015 @ 7:15am
@Baltic

-Isn't there already a Famas for that slot?

@[Kona] Lucky Star >:D

-I tried that, it looks HORRIBLE asthetic-wise, that's probably why most animators put the hands up to the magazine. Also this is not a Sten Mk2...
semen guzzler 12 Dec, 2015 @ 7:02am
Awesome. By the way, is there any possibility of you re-animating the M14 EBR?
phale 11 Dec, 2015 @ 10:34pm
Draw and reloads are excellent, but I'm really not a fan of the zoomed fire animations - they make it difficult to see what I'm shooting at. The vanilla zoom fire anims are perfect.
Random Mercerency 11 Dec, 2015 @ 9:55pm
any chance we could get a realistic set of animations for this IE when the player properly hold the weapon by the body under the mag well and not by the magazine? kinda like whats shown here :P just asking since not one game has ever properly depicted this :/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ENumpHw8Wk
Karpp 11 Dec, 2015 @ 7:01pm
ayyy

whens the p220 coming out?
Nima 11 Dec, 2015 @ 5:12pm
Cool, thanks for the response
MzK  [author] 11 Dec, 2015 @ 5:11pm
@Avod

-There's literally no point in re-doing the Galil; It's perfectly fine as is, and the animations are as good as they can get, certainly above my level of smooth movment.

@Ænima

-You will have to re-rig the bones from the sten, but yea it's possible
Nima 11 Dec, 2015 @ 5:08pm
Do you think this will work Tigg's Sten Gun?
Avod 11 Dec, 2015 @ 4:43pm
Hey @MyZombieKillerzTheAnimator do you think you'd be able to re-animate the Galil?
Vimy Glide 11 Dec, 2015 @ 3:24pm
@Cpt.Obvious
...To be fair, it IS an insurgent handling the weapon. They might not know (or really care) about that.
Fredipedia 11 Dec, 2015 @ 1:39pm
Problem is that holding the gun with the mag as grip is a really improper way to hold it, because the magazine and the mag well can get damaged. For a right-handed shooter, the correct position for the left hand while firing is on the ventilated barrel-casing, but not on the magazine, as the pressure from holding the magazine can increase the risk of stoppages, and a loose magazine can lead to dropping the weapon.

Your animations are very good anyways ^^
