Got a question? it's about snowfall, so I installed snowfall to hopefully be greeted with snow on specific maps but for some reason, I just get all these weird colourful textures that ruin the game so I don't see any snow at all? If anyone can help pls tell me cause I really wanna use a snowy map.

but to answer your question, it lasts forever
Katalepsis  [author] 2 Aug, 2016 @ 12:41pm
this is sort of obsolete now that they released Snowfall

I don't see why you'd want that, when was the last time you saw snow in the tropics?
But if you really want to have palm trees in the snow, it's fairly easy to modify the Theme xml file.

Navigate to Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\255710\574916062

Open the TerrainThemePack.xml file and change this line:
<biomes europe="true" boreal="true" temperate="false" tropical="false" />

To:
<biomes europe="true" boreal="true" temperate="true" tropical="true" />

Now you can use it on any biome.

This would be better if we could use this theme for all maps (boreal, european, temperate and tropical)

Right. I wanted this. Very convenient way. We received a gift very easy mod.
I had a difficult terrain replace mod.

Thank you.

Hehe. Guess I could always swap them around and try them out on my city to see which I like the best. :P
Katalepsis  [author] 14 Dec, 2015 @ 4:57am
you can get all the themes at the same time really, then just pick the one you want to use on your current city from the dropdown menu :p
Avanya 14 Dec, 2015 @ 4:46am
Ah cool and good to know. Looks really awesome! :D Now I "just" have to pick a theme to use :P
Katalepsis  [author] 14 Dec, 2015 @ 4:38am
You don't *need* to paint snow, is what I mean, mountains are already white :p the sand brush will make the mountains even whiter
Katalepsis  [author] 14 Dec, 2015 @ 4:37am
This theme is all snowy, the entire landscape is covered in snow, but the sand is particularly white, brighter than the rest of the snow. So yes, you will have snow beaches. Will probably make another theme for different usage.
Avanya 14 Dec, 2015 @ 4:34am
Since the snow if painted on with the sand does that mean coastlines with sand will be snowy if this theme is enabled? Would love to add snowy mountain tops to my current map, but I have some sandy beaches atm. :P
