Hello D. i'm playing with your mod which is very good thanks!But after 100 turns ai recruits only tier 3 units so ai have complete tier 3 armies so this is too cheat to beat i can't create as many as tiers 3 units because it's expansive :/ normal?

Hi I'm using this with 1078 mod because someone said it fixed the issue with rebelliion/separatist armies only spawning with a 50 man general and no accompanying army -- it does not for me. I am also using the 2.5 trade mod, legendary generals and armies, and hadrians buildings effects (reccomended by 1078 creator). Any thoughts on conflicts or why it isn't helping? The regular armies seem okay...just not big enough they seem to not make full stacks

Good, love this mod but i have to report a bug: before i using this mod AI could easily set up siege with siege towers and ladders and ram but after i using this mod AI only build a siege tower and they stand out of my city and did nothing instead i had to attack them from my city and i lost battle :/ so please could you check and fix this problem? Thx

Kaiser the preference is faction based! I.e. if by default the faction was spear focused it would indeed recruit more spears.
Bearfieldlee - yes, that's correct, i have upped faction preferences. That being said the avars would indeed recruit more cavalry, but melee cavalry ofcourse.

Hello, I really like the improvement that you have made with this mod. However, when it comes to recruiting melee units, the AI seems to have a preference to Spear units over Sword units, which makes their armies really easy to defeat. Is the a way you could switch this up?

Ok about the cav problem , turns out that was a problem with the picts, they probably had only cav buldings so they recruited a lot of it. That is partially my bad - I fucked their settlements up with sackings and lootings so the AI went retard mode when making new buildings, the AI is CA's fault in the first place. :steamfacepalm:

Thank you, good sir , for making the game not suck as much with 19 jav inf wrecking my army in 30 seconds. But while I was playing I noticed that most AI armies have 5-6 cav units, it may be just me but that is a bit too much and when the AI gets the higher tier cav that could be a serious challenge, still better then 19 jav unit spam.:KneelingBow: That said , in normal Attila that would be a good thing with the sassanids or the huns and other nomads. But hey, it may be just me getting butthurt because the AI got to my archers while I was "microing like a baws".

Vodoo keep in mind, the AI will not disband damn wardogs right away, you might have to kill a bunch first and then see AI replace them adequately.

The wardogs were classed as melee by the game, now they are missiles, with added reduction in recruitment quality. AI will recruit them much less.

Vodoo: i have added a small fix right now, although the game identifies wardogs as spearmen, melee (-_-) it should have a much lower priority on recruiting dogs than before. If the issue persists let me know, i might resort to even more drastic measures then.

I played for a while with this mod, now factions like westphalia or other pagans have 8-10 dog stacks mixed with archers and infantry. Is there any way you can get rid of that?

Voodoo - yes it does work with saves, but keep in mind the AI would not disband and replace existing armies. It will affect new recruitment only, meaning that when it starts to buy new units, it will focus on melee, when it faces casualties, it will replace them in armies with predominantly melee units.

Just got into an MP campaign using this, I have to say its been much more interesting actually fighting welshmen who use spears instead of peppering me to death with arrows, and trampling me with horses. Bravo, and well done, super glad to be fighting some real armies at last!

Oh yes it does, the cavalry now would not exceed 20% of the army count, excep for avars of course, they will have more for obvious reasons.

I've had issues more with the AI making 90% horsemen armies more than anything else, does this deal with that problem?
