Long story short: The map was poorly built... probably a bit of a rushed job on Charon's part... that made it far more complicated for the engine to render than it needed to be. Combine that with the fact that a couple of clueless numpties with close to zero programming finesse happened to modify an otherwise rock-solid Q3 source code in to the mess we call QL, and the result is that QL goes belly-up if everything isn't 100% right.

The map name is ospdm9_dev. The main goal was to get passed that crashing issue, but I also neatened up the map while I was at it. The geometry has been improved and extra trims added to give the map that finishing touch. The lighting is a bit brighter in areas, varied and of better quality. The texture mapping has had a face-lift. It should be a little easier on the rendering engine too with better construction techniques used and extensive hints/detailing simplifying how the map is drawn in-game. I'm sure there's still some room for improvement but this should be a step in the right direction.
Anyway, everyone can give it a try and report any issues/add suggestions before it gets added to the pack.
Nice to hear that :)
* Added 3 bonus maps: ospdm13, ospdm14, ospdm15.
I was wodering do you plan to port more mappacks, like CPMA map packs perhaps? Those were fine maps too. Anyway, thanks again!
