Yeah. With the new expansion, I'm getting back into the game and will probably start building more maps.

Played on this map, it's real nice. Despite the symmetry center has very interesting terrain. A bit too much water in the north and south. Every hyperium and mithrite deposit in the center only has 3 adjacent buildable tiles, you sadistic mofo.

You need to subscribe to mod, then in EL create desirable mod pack, activate it. When creating new match there will be this map in the list of preset maps.

The full tutorial is here. Though even it doesn't tell you everything. http://forums.amplitude-studios.com/showthread.php?84218-Map-Creation-Tutorial

What program did you use to make this map?
ai00000 26 Dec, 2015 @ 12:07am
Неплохо

A middle earth map would be great. Minas Tirith being a highly defensible with ridges(but a large field in front) near Mordor, while Rohan is more even fielded, etc.
Suspense  [author] 17 Dec, 2015 @ 1:31am
I might just make a middle earth map next. Though there's a severe lack of volcanic tiles for Mordor
Suspense  [author] 17 Dec, 2015 @ 1:31am
Also Watchtowers still not appearing, I again have no clue why. It makes the BL quest unplayable.

Does anyone know how to do world wrap? I can't find an answer anywhere. Also, I'm working on a less... extreme one because I feel like I jumped in deep for a first map with this. So many.... it's insane. Yeah, this was made with non wrap in mind. Basically you have a rival on your starting island and then fight over the center. Circumventing the globe might make back stabbing a more common approach taking away from the "King of the Hill" style. But I'll certainly look into it.

Considering the spawns locations I think wrap will move accents more from the center of the map to direct action between starting locations. The option is still not hard to implement.
HappyHead 16 Dec, 2015 @ 9:21pm
I don't think I speak for everyone, but, seeing as how cool this map looks, it's a shame there's no world wrap...
Suspense  [author] 16 Dec, 2015 @ 12:47pm
Yeah I noticed that too. THe watchtower thing baffles me because the map has them and they're the same layer and programming as all the other points of interest. I have no idea what's up with that. I've been staring at the coding for this game all day trying to figure it out. Yeah, Cherub Sword and Sereph Sword are meant to be sort of instant win locations. Thanks for the feedback. I had a lot of similar feelings myself.

Pretty cool map, would play a lot on. Although the somewhat small and crooked regions on the middle island on the coastal areas was a bit strange to work with. Didn't allow the usual super triangle or long city formations. I liked the cherub and seraph sword/wings regions(although the sword regions when fully city built has a happiness rating of like 50 or something). I was somewhat dissapointed that I couldnt buid a city right on middle of the summit(I wanted to feel like a king damn it!). The A.I. does indeed have problems traversing the map cause of the differing elevations. Oh and the lack of watchtowers made the Broken Lord quest uncompleteable . All in all a good and large map.
Suspense  [author] 16 Dec, 2015 @ 12:26pm
Also, unless it exclusively says "ocean" it is a ground tile, that goes for inland waters, coastal waters, etc. So they all need to be at 0 elevation or higher and be included in different regions from the oceans. There's a lot of quirks, so feel free to ask, comment, and help me too.
Suspense  [author] 16 Dec, 2015 @ 12:22pm
Sure. Yeah, there needs to be more custom maps. This one is working fully, though the AI can't figure out the map very well. THe biggest thing on the map is double and triple checking you're on the right layer when adding tiles. I don't know how many times I caught myself putting region markers on the elevation layer only to realize in debug mode my mistake.
BinExis 16 Dec, 2015 @ 11:54am
Finally, a custom map! And feared I will be the first to make one overcoming all the problems alone. Can you help with some questions in the future? Meanwhile I'll go test yours.

Caution: Issues with Multiplayer currently. Working out the bugs. Single Player is fully functional. My friend and I can't sync the maps since my game is installed in a non-default location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Endless Legends. If anyone else want to test it out or figure out a solution, I'd be incredibly grateful.

DISCLAIMER: For multiplayer, all players must have same/default install of the game, Any file paths that are different to the steam files then the host will cause a failure to load map.
