Can confirm it hard crashes on adding to the hotbar. Pity, I liked this one more than vanilla.

I think this has been abandend since it was depresated by adding windmills to the vanilla game

Until this receives an Update in the Near Future I will Un-Subscribe from this Mod.

This Mod has caused Crashes to my game in Creative and Survival. Just having 1 of the items in my hot bar causes a crash.

Hasn't worked since September of 2019-2020. Please update this Mod. It's a Very Nice Concept!

I love the idea, but as of now, its completely useless. It gives jack for power compared to just spamming windmills

**WARNING!**
Script for MyObjectBuilder_UpgradeModule is using the obsolete MyEntityComponentDescriptor overload!
You must use the 3 parameter overload to properly register script updates!
This script will most likely not work as intended!

better off with vanilla windmills, smaller less of a pain in the redzone to setup , And the vanilla ones crap out much more power in the Space required for a normal windmill.

Hi any plan making custom rotor block that will generate power by RPM of rotor?
I had plan make base where i use Clang bug that generate random force and just put it on rotor
and have some use of it.

I personally prefer this one over the vanilla ones, since these look more windmilly and don't like the turbine spam you so often see.

Why ? It's still far more powerful than the base windmills but also much expensive and need much space, so there's a place for both ;)

Love the idea of this mod and looks good.

Any chance on an update? Would love to have collision on the blades and currently the small grid windmill and blade aren't working; while at least for me they are not.

My friends have discovered an exploit, where windmills are more effective underground than on the surface.
If this could be fixed somehow, that would be greatly appreciated; I'm not fond of having massive blades clip through the ground.

Good news ! Its spinning again ! :) (and still working ^^ )

I tried to cheat with the square one and build it on a rotor, but it's doesn't produce power though, it the grid that must be in movement, not the part ;)

Whats the point without those, the government subsidies or other.

...wait a minute.... what about drones? Will drones ignore them, and even try flying through the blades?

The "box" windmill only generates power while the grid it is placed on is moving. Working like a turbine it uses the atmosphere and the motion energy to produce electricity.

the dynamo/blade setup despite no animation, still seems to work well. The Box "windmills" do not, or at least they report they can make power but never show it.
Am I using the box's wrong?

Add a rotor to the dyno, then the prop to the rotor, may not be perfect but looks good. :)

Correct. Keen's API changes broke that part of this mod. The dynamo's still generate power.

@devil614: press G and search for 'rotor', you should see 6 types of small to large rotors, some marked as 'decorative'. You need to select one that's not decoration and put it on the end of the 'dynamo' which you can also find in the G menu. Let me know if you still can't find it :)

Foxtheginger: Last I checked they were creating power, just not spinning/animated. Make sure you put a non-decorative rotor on a dynamo, and don't place them too near eachother, it should still work afaik.

I mean you could make an army of them, except there's a minimum distance between windmills -- otherwise you get reduced production. I think that the lack of collision you're refering to is probably a by-product of the animation.

Well the only thing i dont like about this mod is the rotor dont seems to have collision ... so if youd want you could make a wall of them crossing each other ... or fly by not dangerous at all ...

id prefer making an array of those where going past them would be not so easy ... well at least it work ...

Good to hear. I probably had a temporary bug, ill try again. Ive been using your mod in every game since Ive found it, I would be sad if it got broken by some update. Thanks for the nice concept, I particularly appreciate that you have to put some effort in designing your wind field because of height / distance constraints.

Works fine for me, be sure to place the rotor (rotor connector) on the front of the dynamo.

Is this mod broken ? It seems I cant place the rotor on the dynamo - it acts like the dynamo itself collision is preventing it.

UPDATE from my last comment. I had my platform connected to the windmills, but the platform connected directly to an ore detector. My friend removed the ore detector which disconnected the windmills from the stations. Then i placed a normal armor block down and reconnected the windomills to my station. Now my single battery is charging at the expected speed. I don't know why earlier it was charging twice as fast.
