Got an alternative option for the reskin? The site no longer operates. Here is the archived page: https://web.archive.org/web/20180302151017/http://www.trainsimdesigns.co.uk/reskins/emu/class-377-island-line/#Tab1

If you know of no source for it, perhaps adding the reskin at AlanThomsonSim would be an idea. You could also put the route up with it so it's not confined to the Workshop, though just posting the reskin should be sufficient. Keeping the route here for scenarios is a good idea.

As this route hasn't been updated in a while and looks complete, would it be possible for you to make it final so I can make some scenarios for it?
NotSwindonRail 6 Jul, 2018 @ 10:49pm
Will you be making a new IOW route (or extend this one) with the Newport to Freshwater, Newport to Ventnor West and Sandown to Merstone on top of what is included in this? The Ashey Quarry (unless it's closed, I haven't done my research, just looking at a map of the old IOW routes) would also be a nice addition, allowing freight to run, along with Freightliner-style terminals at Cowes and Yarmouth.

Hi there. I was wonderng what happened to the isle of wight metro route. Thi is the closest thing i can find. Ive seen other items on the workshop referencing to the isle of wight metro. I wonder why it's been taken down
LionPlayersAreDegens 8 May, 2018 @ 6:42pm
Nice Route, I like it a lot. My issue is that the signals seem to be always on amber and never go green. not sure what causing it but the AWS alarm is annoying
FowlPlay36 12 Apr, 2018 @ 5:03am
is this a full route and i only need to buy the dlc i dont have to play this?

Any chane of the Isle Of Wright Metro being released.

Amazing route. I'm making timetables for it! Just to clear it up, Brading to Bembridge is the steam railway and everything else is the other lines?
ChilledGamerUK  [author] 18 Jul, 2017 @ 2:36pm
@PVRS Productions Sadly my computer gave up and died last month meaning I've lost all the IOW Routes I made including this one, I do have it on a backup drive somewhere, if I can find it, I will finalise this route, need to take some more screenshots of it though.
ChilledGamerUK  [author] 18 Jul, 2017 @ 2:35pm
@Kirkinstein I took it down for the time being as I wasn't happy with the rollercoaster section, I've purchased a lot of IOW Railway books with gradient profiles. Also I used the wrong Google Maps cooridnates, hence why its all up and down. I am working on another in the mean time.
DJ Spicey Pigeon 30 May, 2017 @ 11:46am
I would like to ask, will this route every be finalized because I can imagine the amount of scenarios people want to make with this route but can't upload them to the workshop.
British Rail Class 317 27 May, 2017 @ 6:30am
what happened to the isle of wight metro, it dosent seem to be on the workshop anymore, absolutely loved driving that route
NotSwindonRail 10 Jan, 2017 @ 7:42am
So I know which to download.
NotSwindonRail 10 Jan, 2017 @ 7:41am
I can't actually download them as I do not have the required content, i was just curious about which covered the most of the IOW.
ChilledGamerUK  [author] 7 Jan, 2017 @ 7:22am
@ExplosivePeanutButterJelly - Have you tried both routes? This one contains Ryde-Newport-Cowes, IOWSR Brading to Bembridge & Shanklin to Ventnor sections. The proposal is just loosly based on an idea that was mooted last year (2016).

@CoolKieran007 - Quick Drive (QD) doesn't work, you'll need to find it under route builder and access it that way, never been able to get it to work.
KVT 28 Nov, 2016 @ 1:00pm
one problem with the route the quick drives dont show up in my quick drive tab.
Bazfm100 22 Nov, 2016 @ 9:47am
got it, done it, liked it. very good, nice route for the new 313's, got mine in southern doing the rounds. looks right at home.
NotSwindonRail 12 Nov, 2016 @ 2:18am
I don't see a difference between this and IOW Proposal.
ChilledGamerUK  [author] 7 Jun, 2016 @ 1:02pm
@PVRS Productions, thank you for pointing that out, I'm currently without a GPU until next weekend, I will fix it then:)
DJ Spicey Pigeon 28 May, 2016 @ 1:54pm
The route is amazing. One problem: The shed at Brading Inspection Pit Siding 1 and 2 is too low. The engine or rolling stock would just clip through the shed and nearly hit the roof. Here is a link to what it looks like - https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=692864458
ChilledGamerUK  [author] 12 Apr, 2016 @ 4:46am
A cut down version, I hated the 'Roller Coaster' on the Cowes-Newport-Freshwater Line, I couldn't fix it without completely remodeling from Wootton to Newport/Cowes/Freshwater Line to make it look better, it was just looked crap in my book.
simonmd 7 Apr, 2016 @ 11:58pm
So what is this? A replacement for the IOW Metro? An update? A different version?
pjt1974 27 Jan, 2016 @ 11:43am
@Zeo I completely agree about the Newport to Freshwater section. I never enjoyed going down there. I nicknamed it the roller coaster the first time I went down. I did have a full 7 day timetable worked out for the original but I think I lost it in the change over to a new PC. I'll have to power up my old computer and see if i can find it. Nice work again
ChilledGamerUK  [author] 20 Dec, 2015 @ 11:24am
@Ryan_C, thanks for the comments, I'm already thinking about a 3rd, which would possibly be a finale one (As I want to learn more about UE4), it would be even more reduced but would be something different and something that could well be or could of been a possibility on the island or so they suggested 15 years or so ago.

As for the AWS Ramps, I've enabled them to be permanent due to the constent speed changes and how close the signals are, it keeps you alert, I've been caught a few times myself, reading something online and then forgetting to press the AWS Button.
Sloth 20 Dec, 2015 @ 10:11am
This is a fantastic line, it was great the first time, but now its even better. Well Done!, i wonder if in the future you might consider moving the clock foward again, and incorperaring the bembridge line into the main network, and not a heritage railway.

PS: i don't if it is deliberate, but are the AWS ramps supposed to alert even if the signal in front is green.
ChilledGamerUK  [author] 20 Dec, 2015 @ 7:44am
@Malc - Thanks for the feedback, I've removed the Newport-Freshwater section, I hated it because of the rollercoaster effect and just couldn't fix it. I've played this route much more than the other one, more of a challenge if you play it on Expert Controls with AWS Ramps, it's also my first time I've ever used UK Pro Signals and hoping they're all working.
ChilledGamerUK  [author] 20 Dec, 2015 @ 7:40am
@Bogatyr - I have no idea why Quick Drive scenarios never work for my routes, I've added 4 in 'North - South QD', 'Port to Port QD', 'Tramway QD' & 'Steam QD', followed tutorials over 3 hours today but just can't get them to show...
malc 20 Dec, 2015 @ 7:32am
Great route! Just as good as the Isle of Wight metro line.
Great one, well done!
Bogatyr 20 Dec, 2015 @ 7:08am
I can find your route in Build mode. I can see it in my RW - tools. But I can´t find it in QD.
