You have to extract the folders from the zip file to your /tf directory. Don't put the files in the workshop folder.

@Hotline Azurlo we appriciate your review, and yes promoting the team work was the intended goal while making those missions. :sfsmile: We didn't want missions that only make you rely on a combo medic+heavy

it was definately fun but i admit at some points you really had to coordinate with your team or you wouldn't get over the hump. Which i find a good thing, any map that promotes team play to win is a check in my book. From an engineer stand point theres several viable holding spots even if in my case i wasn't immediately sure where to place my dispencer for team use. I would like to see this in game regardless.

Those waves went through multiple game tests, each of them are possible maybe some aren't fun but it doesn't reflect the whole mission, but your feedbacks are appreciated, we actually plan to revisit all the missions, it's still unsure yet but if we do revisit them your feedbacks will be taken in consideration.

We did win the wave, after second attempt, mostly because someone went Spy. The main problem with the wave is that it consists out of unfun infinite spam. Mad Milk Scouts who amp up the crit Pyros, making Pyro extremely unfun to play as in that wave. Battalion Backup spam is really the most unfun support you can spam. And then we have the infinite Spy spam, making Engi, Heavy and Sniper also really unfun to play as. And our team comp was 2 Pyros, Heavy, Sniper, Engi and Scout for the first attempt and a Pyro switched to Spy on our second attempt.

Most generic answer i have seen.

Advanced1, espacially wave 5, consistet out of pure spam of support. No break on spies, no break on backup soldiers, no break on milk scouts, no break on crit charged phlog pyros. On top of it rather strong squads.

Of course we beat it, but it was unbelievable annoying to play it. No fun involved that.

Cut the constant stream of that support, and it will be much prettier to play.

It's not because you can't win that it means it's bad you know, we are sorry it makes you feel that way but I can assure you that wave isn't really hard to take down if you have a team that has teamwork and doesn't rely on the combo heavy+medic or the engie.

Map is cool and all, but seriously, fuck wave 5 of advanced 1. Is the shittiest and most frustrating wave I have ever played in my entire custom mvm career. Never going to play that mission again, EVER!

Okay, did a whole playthrough with some friends. First 2 waves were way too easy, and 3rd wave was still kind of hard Advanced: we beat them with 4 people no problem even though were weren't familiar with mission: Engie, Heavy, Medic, Sniper. I was playing Engie, and a class I'm pretty rusty on in MvM.

Waves 4-6 were Expert difficulty, with 4 and 6 being possibly even Higher Expert difficutly with the class balance we were using due to the large numbers of Giant Medics and other annoying robots all being spammed at once. We needed to go to 6 people to win (adding Scout and Pyro).

So, those waves are an appropriate difficulty, at least. We didn't test enough to check how balanced they were, though. Some of us suspect that a Spy would've made things MUCH easier.

Hey, I was just playing the Expert mission on sigsegv's server with a bunch of Boot Camp randoms, and the first two waves went pretty easily, even though we didn't even have 6 people the whole time. We failed the 3rd wave multiple times and I left, but I suspect that wave also would've been a breeze with a semi-competent Engie or Soldier. It was just a bit hard for me as a Scout to deal with the 120 Scout bots swarming everywhere when my teammates were using Oil Spill level tactics (ignoring the bomb, building sentries on the "wrong side," etc.).

In fact, Wave 3 in general seemed like a "these robots are a pain for classes that have to aim, but plop down a Sentry and you'll be good" sort of wave.

Long story short, I question the difficulty rating. It seemed more like Advanced difficulty based on Valve's standards. I assume playtesting was done within the Potato group, and I know a lot of their playtesters have a very poor perception of their own skill level, so...

when i played the normal mission in powerplant i was doing good but at wave 2 the giant heavy and his medics didn't appear. P.S. this is an awesome map idea for a sfm video called fem vs machine.
