I think that your second proposal is easier to make then the first one. I'm thinking about doing this. But did you ask more professional mappers on the Steam Workshop? They could perhaps help you even more than I?

As for your template's a long time ago there was a flat-toxic map but was lost!
you could mybe add that. what is toxic_flat? easy really it's a map flat base with a layer
of that toxic goop you come across in half life 2. that give's a radio active warning and deals damage! fun to buid on and you need to be carefull not to fall in XD

Well i was looking around for training-map's like gun ranges there are plenty of those but no tank-training map's? i think thats strange sins there are new tank mod's out there!
whats needed is a tank-range it's simple really it has 2 ranges. one has static target's the other
a moving target which is tank shaped. how it should move in gmod i think a cart on rails moving
left to right. the target is invincible and move's slowly. thats basicly the idea and if you would be so generous as to make it, it will be the first tank-range on the workshop!

this map needs no nav-mesh and no i.a nodes! the only things it could have is mybe
a target re-sett lever & the moving target speed & on/off switch.
thats my idea on a map

about map size and hight. i was thinking the map above is a good base to work on
because its empty and clear! that shaves-off lots of time ;)

I made this map end 2015, where I haven't lost my interest in playing and modding Gmod. But with the time, I got bored, multiplayer was getting repetetive, I had constant crashes when playing GMod, etc. I do play sometimes, but I only test new workshop items, mostly Bionicle ones.

okey i fully tested the nav for the striders! they walk around the map if they see the player
an stand still when they dont. i also tested it with friendly bot's all is well and working :steamhappy:

For Gmod, nt anymore. I was first a hardcore GMod player, but with the time, I lost interest in it. I rarely do mods/maps for something I rarely play.

yes shure ;) also i found a little glitch. for some reason on chrome obejects you see black & white checkers coloring!?

if it it's possible. yes plz i like to battle combine's and they use striders. it's just
something thats missing. but i think most will use this map for tank game-mode's anyway
