Ive seen plenty of pictures of armored byzantine horses but maybe they were from a later time period? Ive never understood the point of armoring rider and not horse in any case, just aim for the horse and no more threat from that direction. :-D
It fleshes out the Theme of Sicily a bit more than the standard faction unlock mod.
Also I agree with previous posters that it would be cool if the beards were gone. Just my two cents.

Yes, we sure. They use it till 10th AD. No kite shields for this period for sure.
