Yes, I have done the first steps. I have only the .inc files present. When I load a level all the FX textures are glitched out. I conclude the .tga and .ctm files have not been generated, because I cannot find them, and the game is broken. They either do not generate, or they are generated somewhere I cannot find them.

@n1gger coon man: You need texture, you need to set up setting for your texture in .ebm file, add name of your ebm file into .inc file, delete your current alpha or light tga and ctm files, load some level and it will generate them.

Where do the NEW .tga and .ctm files get generated? I cannot find them in the AS2 directory, nor the mod folders.

@ne oleans: Just open some ebm file with notepad and you will know.You also have to delete light and alpha.inc,.ctm,.tga files from texture.pak to experiment.But there is a limit to the alpha and light .tga textures and my mod almost filled it(I had to delete some of my textures and make my simulations shorter) so I dont think you will be able to add there another textures.

I see these instructions, and I followed them to a point. What is ebm? I merged a list of textures from another FX mod with the ones from this one, and saved the neww alpha.inc
What I don't know now is how to generate it, when I launch the game, they dont appear in 'resources' or the mod folder. Where can I find them?

@Italia Fanreich: Just tested it and it works.Some vehicles have wrong muzzle flashes but its not a big problem.First activate FX mod and then UNIT mod.

@Swayze, @lachmav: I think I know why it looks cartoony.Currently working on next variation but then I can do a little more research and see if I can fix it.The engine is old and it doesnt work well with smoke and fire in one sprite.

@OBERLUTNER: You may find some effects realistic and some not.This mod aims to replace old textures and make the game look better.There will also be two variations imitating effects from other games.Then I will see what to do next but I will try to make realistic fx as well.

@Hanrahan: Yeah the problem is blood&gore mod.Just move my mod to activated as the last one.For example: move blood & gore to activated, click activate, move my mod to activated and click activate.Simple and should work.
