They didn't exist back when I designed this (almost 10 years ago!). Also, they move more slowly, making them easier targets for enemy weapons.

38 Special is the last vanilla minimum block all-zones machine I made, and it can beat almost all of the Valfross Zones. It'd be tough to make a minimal machine to beat all the zones including Krolmar, but I might tackle that challenge in the future.

The glitch just lets you get around the part of the program that keeps you from placing intersecting blocks. Whether the resulting machine works or not is another matter.

In the case of flying spirals, you can place them place them one block apart, or even clipping through other blocks, and still have them work. But you can't place multiple flying spirals in the exact same position.

oh yeah, I forgot to mention, HACKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I mean if I put two flying blocks together or something like that, those flying blocks will break off

@Redbaron14n The key is to quickly tap the flying spiral controls, rather than hold them down. I've written some earlier comments that might be helpful to you, too. Please let me know if you have any more questions.

Thanks for the upvote and favorite! In the bird stage, you want to hover with very little lateral motion. That entails a lot of quick taps of the flying spirals. It's hard to keep it precisely in the path of the birds, but that's just a matter of practice.

If you rapidly tap one flying spiral, it should turn while maintaining altitude. You might find it easier if you climb higher before you start turning to give yourself some margin for error, but the machine can turn close to the ground, too.
