That's strange. At least it works for you, now. Be sure to let me know if anything else goes wrong, or if you have any suggestions for the mod.

The issue has, oddly, resolved itself. I didn't change anything, just ended up restarting the game a few times. Thanks for the replies!

Have you used any texture replacers that edit the skill menu?

I'd suggest using the Nexus version of the mod, and see if that one works for you. Not sure why this is happening, as I use it personally and have not experienced this, even with a full load order.
Zombinja 30 Oct, 2016 @ 12:28pm
It is checked and I have no other mods in my load order. What I mean specifically, is that I have loaded the game and the perk trees are no different. The mod is up to date according to the Skyrim launcher, but is not changing the game at all.

Can you be a bit more specific? What do you mean, that it isn't loading?

Is it checked in your load order? If it is, make sure it's loaded after any other mod that may alter perks, skills, or the effects that are attached to them.

SkyPerk Overhaul doesn't seem to be loading. What can I try to fix this?

Hope, that this one will give skyrim lvling sense..:)

On the contrary, it's a bit underpowered and makes the game more challenging.
Vinnie Mack 25 Apr, 2016 @ 2:13pm
looks very overpowered.
ryex.anuri 24 Apr, 2016 @ 5:52am
Ah, OK. Thanks for the info.

Long answer: At this point in time I cannot publish the non-DLC version. There will be one released, and yes it will be available here in the Workshop. Unfortunately, I can't say when that will be.

I need to re-create the entries from scratch (without assets that are no longer available), and they might not work correctly. Multiply that several hundred times and things can easily get broken.

I'd like to help all of you that don't meet the current requirements, but I don't want to give you all a broken mod that refuses to do what it says it should. I hope you all understand the issue there.

If you can bear to wait an indeterminate amount of time for a non-DLC version, then you will enjoy what is in store for you. If not, then I apologize, but I won't rush something out because it will probably be broken, and you won't want to use it anyway.

Quick question: Is there any chance of you making a non DLC version of this mod and putting it up over here on the Steam Workshop? Please?

Go right ahead. Though it would probably be easier if you sent me a friend request and PM me your list, so we can go over it all in greater detail without filling up this page.

If Skyrim is lagging, it isn't due to this mod. It adds a whole whopping 200KB to your directories, and doesn't have any persistant scripts. Nothing about this mod could cause a performance issue.

Normal mod,but Skyrim lag that's the problem

I haven't had the time to make full use of some of the higher level "super perks," but I have to say this is FAR BETTER than vanilla. I'm also glad that you asked for my opinion, because if you actually are willing to really consider my personal suggestions I do think this mod could make the perk trees look almost like they were meant to be that way and not just some awesome mod. (If you get what I mean) Point being, I have many ideas that I think will definitely make this even more impressive than what it already is! I took the time to take quite a few notes on what I think needs just a bit of tweaking or fixes. If you want these ideas, I'll gladly type this page-long list. :steamhappy:

Any time. Let me know what you think. I'm always open to suggestions and constructive criticism.
ThePepperSlayer 20 Mar, 2016 @ 9:33pm
That was very relieving. I can't wait to try this out..I always thought the vanilla perks were boring and poorly made.. Thanks for the comment!

You won't lose anything when it gets updated, it won't corrupt saves, and nothing will change about your characters unless I change something. When I do alter the mod, you will gain access to any changes as if they were a part of the base game. Unlike most overhaul mods, you don't need to make a new save every time I update it, or patch a save with some tool. It's very save friendly. If an effect isn't updated you can just use the console to remove the perk, and then add it back. But I have never personally experienced this issue. Whenever loading a save, all the changes are right there as if my character always had them.

Once I get the necessary tools, and the time to code it all, I am going to include an MCM menu to update the perks and effects upon loading a save, as well as allow the user an option to "debug" their perk tree, and tweak anything about the more optional parts as they see fit.

I hope that alleviates any concerns you may have in using SkyPerk.
ThePepperSlayer 20 Mar, 2016 @ 5:43pm
This mod seems amazing! However, my concern in actually using it is that, when you update said mod, will if affect my current characters? If so, how? Will I lose all my perks? Will my saved game become corrupt? Etc.. Please reply on this so I know using before the mod is finalized is safe.
Thanks

@MangoTango

One of the problems with downloading a new mod is that it takes diligent reading to find what a mod requires, that is if the publisher/author bothers putting it up. With the Nexus you actually get a pop-up telling you what is needed when you try to download a file, if the author so chooses to select the option when publishing it. I'm glad you tried making sure SkyPerk was the only mod enabled first to see if it was the mod itself, but yeah it requires the DLC minus Hearthfire.
ogre peek 17 Jan, 2016 @ 7:22pm
shit nevermind it requires dlc xD
ogre peek 17 Jan, 2016 @ 7:21pm
(it crashes even if it is the only mod enabled)
ogre peek 17 Jan, 2016 @ 7:20pm
this makes my game crash every time i launch it. uh, ok?

@demonmastermatt

To make use of the update, and any future updates, just load Skyrim through Steam and let the launcher that pops up download it. You'll see it doing its thing in the lower right hand of the launcher.

Even if you use SKSE, if you use Steam for your mods, you must use the Steam Skyrim launcher to get any updates, but once it is done downloading, you can start Skyrim however you wish.

All three perks did indeed add the values to the PC, but their values weren't showing up in the UI for some reason. They were when I tested it last, but now they weren't. I just updated the mod so that the values will show up in both the active magic effects screen, and the items screen, and this time they will stick around. Note that in order to see them in the items screen you may have to hover your mouse over a piece of armor. What happened isn't my doing or a fault with the mod, but the way that Skyrim itself lists armor ratings. Before my mod came around, the mage armor spell values didn't even show up in the armor rating. With SkyPerk they do.

P.S. Thank you for bringing that to my attention, I haven't actually PLAYED the game in a while and didn't notice it. Kudos.

The first Aegis perk didn't increase my armor rating, and I am wearing no armor. What do I do?
V  [author] 4 Jan, 2016 @ 8:55pm
Dawnguard and Dragonborn. Hearthfire is not required.
SongBird 4 Jan, 2016 @ 3:57pm
do you need all the expansions?
