Sorry to say that I do not currently mod this game (not saying I wont in the future just no currently)
Bestwishes and thanks for your interest, comment.
Only when you get time, though. No rush. :)
(not in the modding of attila currently, I would other wise be happy to create one but simply not got the time)
Yea that can be done, I can add it to my to-do-list if you want :)
nice to see interest in the mod and its improvements
I warmly recommend mod: Age of Britain for unlocks factions in AoC. most of my mods are designed so they are compatible with most other mods.
Have changes the description, the Kings Warband where not general unit anymore, but reqrutable as a seperate unit.
I am Hassitate to change to much with this mod without the requesting users say so, so will most likly stay this way, but if d.uzunerl like some ideas or want something changed he just need to let me now below:)
Said all that, I really like the ideas you got aspecialy "Elite Pict Crossbowmen", I resently started modding Total War, so havn't done many units mod, but I am accully looking into good ideas on my first unit mod, will add your ideas to my notes.
Thanks, Great suggestions and feed back.
Now my opinion : I think King's warband is a bad idea to reflect "historically" the picts, the Pict's nobility was mainly horsemen and some at foot, so I think you should let the nobles as bodyguard. Then, to reflect the nobles in the pictish army, maybe you should create some new units, pictish noble swordsmen and Pictish noble horsemen (for exemple). They were famous for their crossbows, maybe add another unit like "Elite pictish crossbowmen", mix of missile and melee infantry.
Finally I found that the visual work of the picts done by CA was very little ... So, I think you could a little reskin some units, here are some links : http://www.puttyandpaint.com/images/uploads/artistworks/3695/311210_011__sized.jpg and https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/7a/5c/49/7a5c4989b12c07bf434458344de1166c.jpg .
I hope I helped you for this mod !
So could work now, don't hassitate to contact again if there are any other issues or suggestions.
Thanks for comment:)
no. 1: ty will look into it always great to have users point out small or large issues, gives me a chance to learn and figure out how stuff works. ^^
no. 2: the intention was to have Kings Warband be a general for the army, and later upgrade to pict nobels which are there general units, thats why it upgrade from melee inf to cavarly.
Note, I havn't reaplace the starting generals, so they are still picts nobles.
(uncertain if it works as intended, if you notice anything or that new generals don't have Kings Warband as units, plz let me know)
Thanks and have a great year^^
