@Performed Dragon You are correct!

yeah the Z-95 Headhunter was the previos model to the X-wing it was one of the oldest models

Correct me if im wrong

@Missedstep Yes, they are similar. The Headhunter is the forerunner of the T-65 X-wing. They were replaced with the X-wings.

@Rabid Thanks for the useful advice

Building the wings via projectors:
Just have projectors on the body with which to project the wings off of.
.1 Build blueprint 1.
.2 Blueprint 1 - the body of the x-wing now has 4 projectors, each with a wing blueprint preloaded on them. Power blueprint 1 and now the projectors pop the wing projections into place.

@Reimu Exactly, but this thing, that you can't build multiple grids, that are connected with rotors, also a huge setback
But it's still Early Access after 3 years, but it improves well... in some aspects...

We need an update that merges the physics grids of rotor-connected pieces, so that thrust is applied to the center of mass and they fly like other SE vehicles.

@MiniMut Just tried to bulid it with a projector + welder combo, but yes... It's sad that you can't do the wings, or I'm just didn't know the method to do so. In that case, if you wish to use it in survival, then you have to build the wings, not so tricky

playing on survival btw

how am i supposed to build this? the projector doesn't allow multiple grids so i can't get the wings.
retech  [author] 6 Jan, 2016 @ 8:10am
@Reimu Yes, that thing annoys me so much too, I will work on some of it's parts tomorrow to get a more stable starship. I'll do my best!
Redeye 43 5 Jan, 2016 @ 1:48pm
ah gerd. That's amazing. I just wish it was possible to merge the physics of grids on rotors, then we could make it fly a lot more smoothly.

Awesome

Reimu: No I only do vanilla things. This is also a modless build.
The only mods I usually use are a speed mod, and skyboxes, that are not affecting the overall building... you know what I mean
If you use a speed mod, don't be suprised if the wings broke off above 200 m/s. The rotors are so weak :/

KiRyuu: At the moment I am working on this Tatooine home/base, but unfortunatelly I have some work to do, but as life gives me some freetime, I will go on with this Tatooine thing. I'll probably extend this into a rebel base(maybe you would like that one, I have a GR-75, that will be on the workshop, maybe in the weekend :D), and I was planning to create a Mos Eisley themed town/spaceport

If you have more questions feel free to ask, I appreciate any feedback

Dude, please tell me you can make a reble Base world to go with this cause that would make my day.... and obiously good job.
Redeye 43 4 Jan, 2016 @ 12:16pm
My god, she's beautiful. But looks like it needs mods. Does it, and if so, which?
retech  [author] 2 Jan, 2016 @ 3:18pm
Thanks a lot. Yeah not a bulldozer, but the TIE fighters have a chance, and also, in the movies they are as fragile as the TIEs are. I thinks it's balanced out.
