Can confirm that it works inside Dungeons as well (it always kind of bothered me that Skyrim dungeons were quite well lit) Bleak Falls Barrow is terrifying again!
Fighting Draugr in the dark you either sacrifice off-hand to hold a torch or stay in the dark and aim for the eyes.
Brilliant, couldn't be happier with this mod.

Nikolai Chvanov 19 Jan, 2020 @ 10:07am
i dont know why , but its dont work insind of a Dungeon ....
Nikorasu10 20 Aug, 2019 @ 1:21pm
For some reason the mod just stopped working and I can't seem to find for why, any known mods that would not be compatible ?
Floop_the_pigs 30 Jul, 2019 @ 6:23am
can we have this for Solstheim?
Millo 28 Apr, 2019 @ 8:40am
I see that i'm not the only one to have the interior bug.
Jenktank 10 Jan, 2019 @ 6:06pm
It was completely working for me for a while, but now for some reason, only the open world at night is very dark, not the interiors of dungeons. Has this been changed on purpose or just some bug in the mod?
Ragnarzel 25 Dec, 2018 @ 10:10am
In fact, this mod makes the game look like it should be. Now torches and lighting spells make sense.
Eliphand 4 May, 2018 @ 6:02pm
I disagree Caddis this mod will push me to useing torches.
Apolias_ 3 Feb, 2018 @ 3:46pm
realisticly this mod is pointless. you carnt see shit in dungeons which it reality is fine, your underground, going deeper and deeper into it BUT, because you carnt see any further then 3 feet infront of you, sneeking is pointless because you will always end up walking pretty much right into the enemies. good idea though. some of the lighting is a little off, spider webs look real bright.
Płaski 17 Oct, 2017 @ 2:14pm
Night works perfectly fine, but for some reason interiors are not modded at all. Still bright as in the vanilla. Weird, as I remember playing with this mod on, years ago, and it was working fine. Any advice, guys?
Butcher Of Blaviken 16 Oct, 2017 @ 11:56am
For some reason it makes night's darker, but interiors and caves still being as bright as in vanilla game. Any idea why?
LEGO Banana Suit Man 4 Sep, 2017 @ 1:46pm
paired with the scary wilderness mod, this makes it so you must avoid the night and take care in dungeons
Finanor 30 Jul, 2017 @ 12:26pm
it was grat for a while, but i was wondering how to get rid of the effects. i uninstalled it and unsubed but the effects stayed...how do i fix this?
DestructionManX 6 Jun, 2017 @ 8:24pm
really good mod mate keep up the good work
killemloud 19 May, 2017 @ 1:28am
The mod does not appear to have any effect. I have everything ticked and am using loot for load order am I missing something?
Hobocop 16 Feb, 2017 @ 12:06pm
sweet, im tired of the time of day bearing no impact whatsosever unless you are a vampire.
frznghost 24 Dec, 2016 @ 9:39am
I had to unsubscribe to this one. It was taking too much of a performance hit on my laptop, I guess. Or it wasn't playing well with another mod? Flickering, clutter disappearing, random CTD at higher levels.
Kaizaran Skunk 24 Dec, 2016 @ 2:14am
Okay so I checked with EDWS and it made the sky like a dark blue (at 11 PM at night) and buildings in the background were greyed out. I'm just gonna try it with "More Rain" and see if it works that way.
Kaizaran Skunk 24 Dec, 2016 @ 2:10am
Will this mod work with EDWS? I have EDWS on with More Rain and was wondering if this is compatible with it.
:smirk: 9 Nov, 2016 @ 3:59pm
Just awesome!
Aemon 22 May, 2016 @ 3:21pm
Great mod I love how it makes nights actually a threat and sleeping is a logical thing to do. If you have this I also suggest the night hawks eye mod so you can travel at night easier.
Corielus 20 May, 2016 @ 5:46pm
Could we have a version which only affects caves and dungeons pretty please? Great Mod btw
Geralt of Rivia 8 May, 2016 @ 5:20pm
Some dungeons are darker than night, and some are as light as vanilla lighting, could anyone tell me what might be causing this? The mod is great but this is a bit dissapointing...
Vahkitauti 30 Apr, 2016 @ 2:21am
Not working, at all. Not dave game compatible?
qui 2 Apr, 2016 @ 8:43am
Make night time lighter pls, ruins, caves and dungeons are ok
Bragi 19 Mar, 2016 @ 2:35am
Nights are way to dark, the dungeons and all thats fine but the nights are quite unrealistic dark

i'm using the double torch radious mod and i still cannot even see where the hell im going XD
「Cherry Donut」 15 Feb, 2016 @ 7:47am
Yap, make solstheim darker too
tyrel.101 18 Jan, 2016 @ 8:42pm
I dont think it works in solstheim id like to have it dark there to im a necromacer based character and my necromancer love the darkness lol!! plz make solthriem dark like skyrim is :)
Tekky☺ 16 Nov, 2015 @ 11:42am
Soo dark! Cant even see what is attacking me or what I'm attacking and enemys can see me with no problem. Can you please make it a bit brighter or at least make some option for it to change how bright or dark it is?
ChrispyWaffle 7 Oct, 2015 @ 1:41pm
I love this Mod, makes the Game more immersive. I doubt it was that bright at night...i mean..without big cities right.
Artorias 117 22 Sep, 2015 @ 6:17pm
i really wanted this mod for a really long time, now its time to try it, whoever made this is a genious
BENGALI 22 Aug, 2015 @ 1:49pm
OK I can confirm that YES this does indeed conflict with PURe weather mod, when outside. I prefer the Pure weather for outside weather. It looks and feels better. But for INside caves, this mod is GREAT! So, is there any way to have this mod, work ONLY when inside caves??
BENGALI 22 Aug, 2015 @ 1:36pm
Can anyone tell me if this will conflict with "pure weather, darker nights" mod? I am happy with the outside night darkness, but I am looking for something for caves specifically.
We go together 13 Aug, 2015 @ 1:09pm
I have an .ESM installed whch adds a vission effects, called "anubian sight", pretty much makes the game darker by giving you a "molag baal"-esque filter over the world, I wonder what will happen if I combine it with this.
Iure Divino 12 Aug, 2015 @ 12:48pm
This is essential for the discerning immerser!
Rosco 12 Aug, 2015 @ 11:34am
Choosing to only level alteration was a terrible idea... until now.
LastRaven 7 Aug, 2015 @ 6:55pm
lol you guys need torches and spells to see while i can use MY CAT POWAHS! :3 (great mod btw)
Rikashey 16 Jul, 2015 @ 2:24am
Just want to say that this was the very mod that made me swich to PC completely.

I played Skyrim on PS3 about 3 years ago and during the Steam Summer Sale at the time I saw Skyrim on sale and just out of curiousity wanted to check the kinds of mods people use.

When I saw this mod that makes the game have actual light sources and darkness I was blown away. Sold my PS3 copy of Skyrim and played on my old laptop.

I have since upgraded my PC to a high end one and still continue to use this amazing mod.

Honestly, nothing beats it. Out of all the lighting overhaul mods out there this one is the most simplistic and straightforword with the best results.

I couldn't even bare to use Climates of Tamriel because of how it messed with lighting and doesn't use actual light sources like this mod.

I love this mod and I really appreciate you making it. Thanks!

Papa Slothy 5 Jun, 2015 @ 5:53pm
amazing mod. makes you actually want to stay away from blizzards ;-; CANT SEE AT ALL

such a small difference makes the game way better
Zajo 2 Jun, 2015 @ 7:56pm
The clouds are not fixed. They are white when it is night. Other than that, this mod nails the night time and dungeon cave fort light perfetly.
Am7b5 1 Jun, 2015 @ 2:30am
For some reason this is only working outside and in cities for me. Does not work in interior locations like caves and tombs. Only other mod I have that affects lighting is the one that makes unread books glow?
CassieBats 1 Jun, 2015 @ 12:19am
Love this mod!
But is it compatible with COT?
Correct me if I'm wrong but doesnt COT have a light setting as well? If so I might have to give up this Mod if I install COT
Moon Dweller 29 May, 2015 @ 12:34pm
Perfect for my vampire build. I want it be more realistic with darkness :D
Vamatti™ 27 May, 2015 @ 11:30pm
I Just love this mod and a DLC addition/stand alone would be brilliant. Just so good travelling at night when your last torch runs out then a howl in the distance.
pnoble69 27 May, 2015 @ 2:32pm
is this compatible with the relighting skyrim mod and i want you to know that bleaks fall barrow is not dark and the stormcloak camps soldiers don't carry torches so it is hard to see them..besides that, cool mod.and i like the night being pitch black
<SebASol>< 15 May, 2015 @ 7:26am
It's awesome! Why Bethesda don't do like that at start?!!
A very silly man indeed 2 May, 2015 @ 4:58am
I love this, a run through Alftand and into Blackreach did not disappoint. I feel the darkness adds an entirely new dimension to combat. There's a couple of things that would make this even better though:

effects like flaming oil and wall of flames (possibly other magical effects that stand out in the darkness too) giving off light

Including locations introduced by the DLCs (I've only tested the Soul Cairn and Castle Volkihar Undercroft but seeing as you haven't mentioned DLCs here I'm guessing you haven't done this mod for any of them)
