Connect the m203_root_joint or weapon_root bone on the rifle model to the corresponding bone on the M203. The bone on the M203 model should have a little padlock next to it.
Then select whichever bone you merged on the M203 model, and move the 'zero' slider all the way to the right. That's how I usually do it.
M16 is the United States military designation for the rifle, and AR-15 is the designer's (Armalite) name for the rifle.
The earliest rifle in this pack (The 604) was introduced in the mid 1960s, and the most modern rifle in the pack is probably the M727, which was later called the M4 and then developed into the M4A1 when they added a detachable carry handle.
