Update 3 (probably with guard towers and snipers) looks set to come out as IV starts updating steam database:

As soon as these features (guard towers and snipers) are officially published that will be the end of this mod.

@Party P3opl3 9: Because they added these in the game files, this mod spawns them. I probably totally ruined their update as this was what they were gonna release....

@< blank >: This mod adds the ones that are in the game. Its probable they will be released in Update 3 or 4.

IV have added code for snipers and guard towers to the game, but they are hidden.
This mod uses a workaround to allow you to place/use them anyways.

NEW UPDATE: Finally fixed scripts and moved Guard Tower back to objects! (Sprites I left diff. anyways).

BTW: Please post feature requests and bug reports in the appropriate discussion (above), and not here as I will remove them if posted here.

Snipers + Guard Towers currently are in Staff menu (working on update to move guard towers back to objects)
