This was just a massive clusterfuck of confusion and I don't even know what is real anymore XD. So you said, that the game would need 4-6 GB of Vram. Which is false, it wouldn't because the texture isnt even that big. And then you started talking about 40k textures for some bloody reason and I think you misunderstood the 40k in the title. It's the name of the universe, Warhammer 40k. We both derped out at understanding eachother lol.

You were saying wrongly that you needed 4-6 gb of VRAM to run it which you don't becuase its not a huge texture. And that it was from a game called Warhammer 40k Space Marine which uses like 1k-2k textures all the time and it can run on a 512 mb VRAM GPU, granted low FPS but you can still run it.

Wait what did you just even say? Why are you talking about... 40k... sized... textures? Besides I'm literally named after a 40k character and I have a picture for it AND it's my favourite universe... Wait so you're saying you thought the texture was 40k? XD... I'm kind of confused to what you wanted to say here but if that was the case then alright lol. Besides, 40k textures don't even exist yet and it wouldn't be almost at all optimizable with the current tech. Star Citizen will be 8k.

Ah, the "40k" is part of the game's title it was extracted from. But if the texture was 40k...
40,000^2 = 1600000000 pixels
Assuming it would be RGBA...
1600000000 * 4 = 6400000000 bytes
Conversion to killobytes.
6400000000 / 1024 = 6250000kb
Conversion to megabytes.
6250000 / 1024 = 6103mb
conversion to gigabytes.
6103 / 1024 = 6gb

That would of been about 6gb cached on your vram if it was 40k res. texture.

@Red-XIII Uhm... you could not be more wrong XD. 4-6GB of VRAM for this kind of model which isn't even that big of a texture is a huge huge overexxageration. #1 it's a playermodel so you won't be seeing it too much. #2 I have a 512mb VRAM and a 3GB VRAM GPU on 2 seperate PCs and they can both run the model without any additional frame rate or performance drops compared to the regular. #3 the game that he pulled this from is called Warhammer 40,000 space marine and the whole game uses even bigger textures than that and my 512mb GPU, last time I tested it, works pretty fine with it.

That's a pretty damn big texture for a model. I would not suggest using this unless you have 4-6GB of VRAM.
