Hello guys ! It has been a long time I didn't play Age of Wonders III, and I'm sorry I didn't keep up to date. I have a looooot of work right now ; I must re-install the whole game and I have to get used the modding tools. But I would like to thank you for your interest in this mod, so I promise you to work on a new update that should come out during the Christmas holidays. Don't expect compatibility patchs from myself, but I'll add some alignement bonus degradation when you kill dedicated to good/evil units.

Doesn't seem to be working quite right along with deluxe specialisation combination mod. I have two good specialisations (creation adept and master, and Keeper of the Peace adept and master) , my base class is rogue and i added druid as a 2nd class (i've given the AI player two classes too). But i constantly seem to go back to neutral.

I notice there's a combination patch mod for deluxe specialisation and this and evil alignment. Is there no combination patch for a good alignment?

Have you thought about making alignment degradation when it comes to bonuses with alignment gained from killing dedicated to evil units? I've been having an issue where when waves of dedicated to evil units from boss' spawning die to my armies, I go from being an evil ruler to being stuck as a neutral or good ruler for the game

simply had to, since i want to play an evil leader now with an Adept+Master combined spec. and i love the Alignment Compatibility Mod ;)

And this mod that adds Cosmos and other specializations? Seemed to run ok single player, but every time i try to host an internet game, AOW3.exe stops working

No, it would be broken : for example, cast 10 times the small little spell to gain easy points.

And there is no spells which will make points per some turns for you? I mean that this spells give you points only 1 time. Is there any which give more then one time?

"It’s much harder too become Pure Good/Evil if you don’t have any Good/Evil specialization. But if you have the right specializations, it can be very easy… for example, simply cast spells from Keeper of the Peace Adept, Creation Adept and Creation Master if they are your 3 specializations ; your base alignement is now +600 (Pure Good) and you win the Empire Quest." ;)

Hmm... Then maybe you can give some advise how using your mods and become pure evil? Im just thought that your mod help quickly change your good or evil by spells.

I did a mistake in my comment : Gift of Nekron is a Shadowmaster Adept Spell. So, it doesn't give you 200 evil points because you have already cast the spell, or another spell from the same sphere. Remember :

"Their effects on the alignment are not cumulative, except for spells from different specializations."

Gift of Nekron, you mean ? You don't earn evil points with Gift of Nekron because it's a class spell and not a Specialization spell. I didn't add alignment modifiers on class spells because I want to keep the possibility to stay neutral as a Necromancer if you want... It's essential for Grey Guards Necromancers, for example.

There were many interesting discussions about this ( http://aow.triumph.net/forums/topic/alignment-nonsense-and-mod-hope/ ). But keep in mind that my mod is an AI balance before all ; I don't want to change too many game mechanics.

As for Necromancers, I didn't add alignment modifiers on their spells because I want to keep them the possibility to stay neutral if they want... It's essential for Grey Guards Necromancers, for example.

Ditto for declaring war on / razing independent Archon (undead) cities - even in your mod, both these things still make you more evil at the moment.

Do you still lose alignment if you declare war on an evil/pure evil or necromancer AI player? Always seems to me you should gain alignment (i.e become more good) if you declare war on a necromancer.

Bless, Cleanse the Land and Domain of Life of life belong to the specialization Creation Adpet ; it means +200 alignment if you cast either one of these spells or all of them.

Same for Keeper's Creed and Summon Archangel. They belong to the same specialization Keeper of the Peace Master ; their effect on alignment are not cumulative.

Ah right I see. Can't say I think that's a good idea. Reducing it to only getting them the first time you cast each spell would have been more than enough imo.

Casting Domain of Life doesn't add the alignment it should either.

This mod makes some alignment changes not work at all - e.g Cleanse the Land and Summon Archangel are meant to give you good alignment points the first time you cast them. Instead they give you no alignment change at all.

Only spells that seem to work for alignment change when you cast them are Bless and Keeper's Creed.

I'll tell you how to add a new value to necromancer spells and perhaps I'll make a mini-mod that add evil alignment on necromancer spells; I have no time today, but I'm free tomorrow. ;)

I was looking at SpellTest and saw your changes there. But can you tell me how to add this to necromancer spells? I can't figure out how to add alignment to the dlc and rogue packs as the alignment isn't set up by the makers.

@Tanaka: Well... they are compatible but not optimized. In Deluxe Selection, many spells are duplicated ; only those that come from the original specializations are affected by the new alignment rules of my mod. A new mod would be necessary to merge the 2 mods together in a coherent rules system.

Thanks, I don't play the game a whole bunch. But would like ot use it with Vanilla instead of the DLCs if possible.
