This is a mod from 2016, friends. Doesn't go well with Chivalrous Intentions. The Watcher spell comes with the Node Serpent research so it's a higher research tier and more costly than the wyverns.

As a sorcerer, I usually spam the random summon to get watchers. Being able to directly summon them seems a bit OP...

Good mod, thank you :) ! for those wondering if creatures from Chivalrious intentions can be summoneded; Ive only used Chivalrious with a druid for a couple of nights now, and besides the spiders and serpents mentioned earlier, I got a raptor, (if i remember the name right), from summon wild animal.

Is there a way to make it so you only someone one type of creature, for example Hunter Spider Baby, in lieu of all 3 spider babies?

@romanova_48 Feathered serpent is tricky because it's an overpowered Tier 3 but not quite as powerful as the Tier 4s! I chose to put it in Tier 4 but I can see the pros and cons of both approaches.

Great mod, I love this for druid. My only complaint is the feathered serpent shouldn't be in the Tier 4 summon serpent line up since its a Tier 3 unit and just gets in the way when your looking to summon an actual T4.

Has anyone encountered incompatibility issues? I demand first, because I have more than a dozen other mods and fear some may give this one problems.
Especially because I use Empire Building and also the PBEM & Single player balance mod

i dont think this works well with the Sensible mount summons mod. I think it overwrites that mod.

Hi, this mod affects Archdruid and Sorcerer abilities, so may not work alongside other mods that affect these areas (although most other mods DO work alongside it, there may be some exceptions). Try running this mod with others in different combinations until you find which other mod is causing the incompatibility. I'd be interested to know which one it is...

Happy 4th of July everyone! The mod has been updated to take account of some community suggestions and feedback. Now Sorcerers can specialise a bit more too!

@BlackSheep42 Sorry to be picky, but Felhorses are just lvl 1 (Tier 1) creatures. ^^; Unless you are using a level system I'm unfamiliar with. http://age-of-wonders-3.wikia.com/wiki/Animals They are good for being a tier 1 creature, but I don't think they fit in among the other tier 2 summonings. Looking forward to your reply and of course your next release!

@ HjAa - Felhorses are level 2 creatures, therefore they belong in the level 2 summoning group. They have low defensive stats but can be very good against Forstlings and those pesky independent Lost Souls.

@ Matt - A couple of people have asked about a similar sorcerer mod. It's something that's very much on my radar, but would probably be built in as an extension to this mod rather than standalone.

Glad you like the mod guys, I'm hoping to relase something else new soon :) Then I may well update and improve some of the existing mods.

How come you decided to include Felhorses among the level 2 summonings? They strike me as awfully weak, but perhaps I haven't given them a proper chance.

Hi, these are conscious decisions, not mistakes.

The Feathered Serpent is a very strong Tier III unit which perhaps should have been a Tier IV to begin with, so including it in the Tier IV summoning spell seemed right to me.

There is more of a case for the Nightmare - it's included in Tier III deliberately because it seems more powerful than the other Tier IIs, but I will review that if I ever come to update the mod. Thanks for your feedback. :)

Your mod is really good, but I see two small mistakes : when I summon a Wild Animal (tier III), sometimes it's a Nightmare (tier II) and when I summon a Gargantuan Serpent, sometimes it's a Feathered Serpent (tier III). Perhaps it's your choice ? If that's the case, I say nothing...

Anyway, these are just details. I love your work !

Hi, glad you like the mod. :) I did not alter the alignment tags of any summons, so I guess that is an unplanned side effect. As for "borrowing" the idea, what do you mean? There are already several mods that are similar to mine (e.g. for invoke mount, etc.) and that's fine. If your mod tries to do something different to mine, then I say go for it! If your mod tries to do the same thing, then I'd probably question the point.

This mod is good, but not perfect. I ask you to make so that there is an individual spell for summoning Gryphons, since they're the only scouting units, and put all other mystical beasts and wild animals(tier 2) into one spell. That would be perfect!

Lovely Mod. Makes Archdruid a joy to play.
I summoned a Shock Serpent, named him "sparky", and then took him along on many battles, watching him grow strongers, taking down wisps and many smaller creatures. Then he matured, and started tackling most foes, becoming a fierce beast. By the time he reached King status, he was a force on the battlefield, crushing anything before him.
As for the mod, being able to more or less choose your summons is great. Spiders are really the only good summons (outside of serpents), and being able to get those makes the summon spells great.

Similar Tweaks for Sorcerer would be nice, in particular the Fantastical Creature. Atm, the spell sucks compared to Node Serpent, who for only 10 mana beats all the fantastical creatures by a country mile (except Watcher, but thats a 1/3 chance).

Well done on the mod, you have made a class I already like, one I now love.

It shouldn't need the expansions to work, as it only touches the vanilla summon spells. Are you running anyother mods at the same time? There might be compatibility issues if you're running another mod with higher priority that changes the Archdruid abilities.

Node serpent has synergy with many other "shocking" skills :D so it should be left alone. I would like to have separate spell for every single summon for druid and sorcerer :D But it can hurt ability to get tier 6 skill fast I guess :(

Update today fixes some localisation text, e.g. "Dread Monkey" instead of "Dire Monkey".

I've had a look at the Sorcerer summon spells and I think "Summon Fantastic Creature" could be tweaked. Ther would be two spells - "Summon Wyvern", which would give you a Tier II Wyvern, and "Summon Fantastic Creature", which would give you a Tier III creature, either a Watcher or a Node Serpent.

Some Sorcerer players can get quite precious about their "Summon Node Serpent" skill though, so I'll do a bit more market research first.

I'm not familiar with the Sorcerer class, as I don't tend to play it. However, the summon spells work in the same way so I'm sure I could do something similar with it. I'd just need to play Sorcerer a few times to understand the implications to balance, etc. of making any changes.

AI summoning is unaffected. The way the AI uses the spells means you'll see little to no difference in AI Archdruid armies from the vanilla game.
