It is a reworked model ported from the game
The exterior is also quite low-poly, so I don't think there's a point. My SCars are rather meant to be driven using the external view or play the role of background vehicles, since they are mostly traffic cars from other games.
You can hide the driver in first person by going to the menu (Q key) -> "Utilities" tab -> "Options" in the "SCars" section, and unchecking the "Show driver in first person view" option.
