This should be able to be applied to speific weapons, not just the HL2 guns, so, you should have like, some specific energy guns overheat, but not every gun on the server.

I currently have it set to only affect (hopefully) HL2 weapons that fire bullets since I've been too lazy to add options to allow other weapons to work with the system too. However, if it is somehow (not sure how), affecting other weapons, let me know, and I'll patch it someday ('cause I'm lazy).

Nope, pressing the reload button will do nothing because technically you have no ammo to reload from.

Yeah, you enable/disable ammo types on specific weapons, etc. But yeah, so you don't always have unlimited thermal ammo.

I'm not quite sure what you mean. Are you asking if it would be possible to implement a system to allow or disallow certain HL2 weapons, SWEPS, custom weapons, and add-on weapons? For example, enabling it for the Gun Ship Gun add-on? If so yes other weapons can be added to the system, if that's not what you're asking, could you explain a little more please? Thanks.

Sorry commenter who's comment I deleted by accident on mobile.
To answer your, this does not replace the HL2 weapons, instead it is a server side script that gives players ammo at a certain rate up to the default max. It also handles some of the other features. The client side script is just for the HUD. It does not replace any weapons. I hope the answers your question.

it would be cool if you could add a red overlay to weapon as it heats up

Okay, when did you last have this error? I have released 3 updates to the addon today one hopefuly that should have fixed an issue similar to that (if not also that). I also just a few minutes ago tried reproducing your bug with the most up to date version of the addon and Simple Energy Shield, I did not get any errors.

got bug here, if you dont have any weapons on you, these two errors are spammed in your console:

(for those of us using Seris' Simple Energy Shield, spawning with no weapons is a bug, that hasnt been fixed yet, where instead of your playermodel, you get the transparent 'player.mdl' that is used as the default playermodel in Half Life 2) or if you just remove your weapons with some other method
