Good work.

Another nice twist. Glad to see I'm not the only one who has to sleep on it before figuring it out.
bullfrog 27 Mar, 2020 @ 4:33am
Still a brilliant puzzle and it still took me a minute or so to get past the bit I was stuck on overnight last time.
zeo1337 19 Apr, 2018 @ 5:18pm
I had actually planned a smarter exit where I jumped from the light bridge at the top of the pillar, to a light bridge at the height of the door, but then I realized I only had to to two things to beat the puzzle lol

Brilliant puzzle - thumbs up + favourited. Started yesterday, but ground to a halt. A night’s sleep, then had a 'humm, I wonder if that works?' moment this morning and, obviously, it did :)
HugoBDesigner 20 Nov, 2016 @ 6:14pm
Maybe I skipped part of the puzzle, but after I got the cube spawning, I just grabbed it and put it in the button . Was the end bit that simple? Either way, favorited. I heard of cube swap and portal swap, but bridge swap? That was clever!

Very tricky. Thumbs up. Here's my "let's play" video:

Yet another nice & twisted one :p2cube:

Respect for creating all those great maps! This went pretty smooth, one little tirck I had to think just a bit longer. Feels good to solve one of yours within a few minutes, as it definitley doesn´t happen that often.
kimist108 21 Jan, 2016 @ 3:33pm
Enjoyed this map because it makes you think, no ninja stuff, and the moves with the light bridges were new for me. I am always tickled pink to see and learn something new.
jandlml 15 Jan, 2016 @ 7:51pm
really good map.enjoyed it very much.
Zoraya 15 Jan, 2016 @ 2:20pm
That was very good, I especially liked how you combined the light bridges. Thanks for another enjoyable challenge!
Science B. 15 Jan, 2016 @ 7:30am
The piston platform doesn't need to be lowered to reach the pedestal button. When you have the light bridge there at that section you can stand on it and then you're close enough to jump and press the button.
Black Tiger 14 Jan, 2016 @ 7:04pm
OMG. I was already at that point:steamfacepalm: but when jumping the laser beam stopped me partly while jumping and I fell into the pool so I thought I wouldn't make it. Now I tried again and now I made it. LoL this has been keeping me busy all evening. Superb!:steamhappy:

How did you drop the elevator when you're in the first area? That's a first time I'm seeing it. What you're supposed to do at the last area (with the elevator) is with the FIRST bridge portal, portal all the way up the stacked white walls facing the elevator, then go through the portal. Walk to the laser and shoot the bridge portal on the laser. Then from that height, jump through the portal. You can make it because of the height. Once on the last area again with the laser, you shoot the laser on the catcher to bring the elevator down, which also disables the fizzler. Walk through the fizzler and stand on the elevator. Shoot the other portal (NOT the one with the laser) on one of the walls around the fizzled area to bring the elevator up so you can press the button. After pressing it, go through your laser portal and it's pretty straightforward from there out. Tell me if it's too confusing, I will make a video walkthrough.
duckdgers 14 Jan, 2016 @ 6:31pm
I'm with Black Tiger. I dont have a block to keep the first fizzler open.
When I have the laser drop the elevator, I'm in the first area. I cant get to the elevator because the laser is dropping the elevator. I cant get a block because I cant get on the elevator. I'm in a catch 22
Help!
Rector  [author] 14 Jan, 2016 @ 6:09pm
You can never be stuck in this map. If you are in the third area (the one with the angled panel) then you can portal the bridge and portal the angled panel and go through it to return to the second area. There, you can use the faith plate to return to the first area. Now do it again from the start to get the laser back to the last area but this time after disabling the fizzler, you stand on the elevator first, then shoot a portal on the white wall to let it ascend again. Hope that helps!
Black Tiger 14 Jan, 2016 @ 9:44am
To get back to where? If I do what you say and don't use the laser but put the bidget where you say, I'm stuck again at the middle part between the swamps. I don't have the cube yet.
Rector  [author] 14 Jan, 2016 @ 9:08am
So you have to get back the laser again cause you did it wrong :P Use the second bridge to get back (shoot a portal through the laser field and another portal on the wall opposite the exit)
Black Tiger 14 Jan, 2016 @ 8:56am
Yes. And then I'm stuck because when I make a new portal to get to the elevator, the elevator rizes again. :) Still can't get to the button. Genius map.:)
Rector  [author] 14 Jan, 2016 @ 8:47am
Lol it descends when its activated together with the fizzler, doesn't it?
Black Tiger 14 Jan, 2016 @ 8:44am
I can get the red beam over there so the fizzler drops, but then I can't get on the elevator. LoL.
Rector  [author] 14 Jan, 2016 @ 4:03am
@dven1 I think so, Portal 2 is almost 5 years old so I don't think they would have any interest to update an old game. Still hopeful though!

@Jade BGE Thanks Jade! I'm guessing you portal-ed the second bridge while inside the fizzler area with the switch? That's another solution for the ending (alternatively using the second bridge, go through the portal, and grab the cube from the faith plate)

@Black Tiger The white walls are stacked high for a reason. Hope that helps!
Black Tiger 13 Jan, 2016 @ 3:41pm
I need a hint. I use both bridges and can get to the back, but not upto the elevator, can't get the laser to there either.
Jade BGE 13 Jan, 2016 @ 12:16pm
That was great! though I did use the bridge to reach the dropper button Thank you.
dven1 13 Jan, 2016 @ 4:04am
Heh, the manoevers weren't difficult, just frustrating due to my own inability to see what was needed right away. But, if it were obvious what was needed the map would lose its appeal.

Do you suppose that Portal is too far along to hope for a better rating system? I'm sure Valve has little interest in applying resources to a product that probably isn't generating much revenue at this time. (or am I wrong?)
Rector  [author] 12 Jan, 2016 @ 7:09am
@dven1 Thank you so much for your kind words <3 I appreciate you for sticking by even after you got frustrated with some difficult maneuvers. Rest assured there won't be any difficult maneuvers in my maps as long as the map is in the "logical tests" collection. (Though most of my earlier maps don't belong in the collection because there weren't fully logical. Instead, they were super easy puzzles that took no more than 5 minutes to complete) If you want more tests like this you can check out that collection (and if you want my personal best chambers you can look at my "best tests" collection )

And I agree, there should be a better rating system. Like maybe rate it from 1-10 or something would be great. Thanks for playing and see you around!

@| \_/ () Thanks! I wanted to make it harder but it didn't really work out (hence the glassed area near the exit) so I had to make it a little easier. Glad you liked it!
dven1 12 Jan, 2016 @ 3:55am
I came back and after many frustrating manoevers finally found my way to the exit!!! It hardly seems necessary to say this chamber was excellent. If I had one complaint it would be that I can only give it the same thumbs-up given to first-timers that manage to not totally screw up their creations. There should be a better rating system for players to show the proper recognition for the maps of the top tier authors like "RectorRocks" and a handful of others.
dven1 11 Jan, 2016 @ 7:25pm
Whenever I see this author's name I know I'm in for a sleepless night. I'll try this in the morning...
| \_/ () 10 Jan, 2016 @ 10:28am
Far easier than the looks of the chamber led me to believe. switching between two bridges is a cool idea. Actually everything in this puzzle is pretty cool. Good work!
Rector  [author] 10 Jan, 2016 @ 2:19am
Thanks all! Especially jgaultney and KAKTUS!

@quaternary I agree, I actually thought of expanding the puzzle a little bit but I reached the 'length' limit, so I had to make do with the limited space. :/
quat 9 Jan, 2016 @ 1:40pm
I like it but I think the ending seems abrupt? Right after you get the cube, the puzzle ends (might as well put the exit on top of the lift instead of the cube spawn button)

Nice mappu though
KAKTUS ‡SvK‡ 9 Jan, 2016 @ 9:46am
Yes good update nice ;- )
jgaultney 9 Jan, 2016 @ 8:04am
Good update, fixed those shortcuts nicely. :steamhappy: Thumbs up. :p2cube:
dire.fcs 9 Jan, 2016 @ 8:00am
Nice work, easy I think.
