I just found up to halfway through volume 16. Turns out they didn't have to stop after all. The last update was in december, but I think they're still working on it.

Ah cool. I only got through Alicization Turning because the fan translators had to stop when the official books started coming out in english.

Not in the anime yet but the books have two more cool swords - Eugeo's Blue Rose Sword and Kirito's unnamed ~Black One~.

Also, im ready to make more swords from SAO, but i know only one another famous sword -- Kirito's Black Great Sword from ALO.

Very nicely done, at first I thought the blade was black, after having a closer look I know it's purple.
