yo this mod deletes tanks like oxygen bottles and hydrogeen bottles, I know u dont update this mod anymore but could you just add the bottles?

Hi, I am not going to be updating this mod as its already pretty much vanilla, its only up for legacy reasons.

Hi there, i can comfirm this causes crash to DS soon as a tank explodes.. unless using modded tanks, if so no crash, but vanilla ones. crashes everytime, - used test with just this mod loaded into local was fine. used fresh world loaded into DS had my wife as enermy shoot my hydo tank, boom and freeze/ crash - remove the mod. not crash.- i have no logs as they seems to overider when the server auto rebooted after crash. but i did repeate this using local hosted DS i can send logs if you wish-

I just saw a stream where this was used. Is it possible that this stacks with the vanilla explosions now? Wondering to keep it for added boom fun or not...

Hey this mod may be old and works till this day. Congrats to that! But.. maybe try to optimize it a bit now. there are alot of people using this mod. Would love to see an update to this mod after years :p

This mod would be good, but the damage modifiers make it unusable. Tanks of all types are way too fragile. Anyone know of a way to change or remove the modifiers?

is it just me or are tanks supposed to be one shotted by a single bullet and blow up?

Just detect where the tank was hit and apply a force vector at that spot with the same vector as the bullet that it, for the thruster effect. Assuming the api allows you to detect and apply those things.

I expect that turning a tank into thruster would be difficult, but even without that element gradual depressurisation of only slightly damaged tanks or adjusting explosion point would help to balance their immense blast power once they blow up.
I like that the explosions are so powerfull, but it shouldn't be so easy.

Very fun mod. However there is couple things i'd like to see.

In my experience it is extremely easy to pop those tanks. But those tanks are heavy, steel plated structures adapted to survive harshness of space, not just rubber baloons. One would expect them to withstand a bit more than just one or two rifle round. I suggest that the explosion occurs once tank's structural HP is significantly reduced below certain level, not straight away.

As a bonus feature i'd love to see slightly damaged tanks to decompress/rupture in jet-like manner. Instead of exploding right away they would produce thruster jet that would push the ship and burn nearby blocks untill tank runs empty, or recieves enough damage to explode.

SolarFlare1234 Theres no need for oxygen for a tank to explode, just the sudden release of a liquifyd gas is enough to create an explossion from the expanding gasses. Granted they would not be any fire because the lack of O2 as you said unless its an O2 tank.

ah, yes. i do love it when shooting a tank full of hydrogen will make it explode. especially when there's no fucking oxygen to combine with the fuel

RE@EvolvedSungod: the game must be playable as vanilla for everybody and with advanced experience in base isn´t the game a funny blockgame for kids, parents and all, too. But cool to see about mods can you become so much features as like Real Atmosphere, Entry Zones for Planets and more. Really good ideas and should stayed in the mod-sections only for download

Doesn't "work". (quotation due to "work" being subjective)
It will cause extremely funky stuff to happen with your blocks, such as teleporting them to other dimensions, only to have them teleport back in at later times.
Also causes your Cargo containers to combust.
In short, it's very very broken as of this writing.

An option would be nice, to take damage by grinding too - to make it more realistic (in reality you cant deconstruct an pressurized tank ..) , so the user musst before grinding empty the tank ..

This mod appears to be broken as of August 2016. Tried filling both oxygen and hydrogen tanks, no results when shot - they just turn red, catch fire, and drop to 0 oxygen/hydrogen.

heres an idea insetad of making reactors explode.... just make it so if there critically damaged (green smoke and such) they slowly damage blocks in the area randomly (area size depends on reactor... includes the reactor itself in the 'random block')...
