@Bobo The Pirate: I did it myself with an outdatet photo software. You can create it i. e. with Gimp or Photoshop. I link the tutorial index for you.

@OrangeJuice´: Yeah, I know that. My first version had only bridges to cross the river. Testing this was a pain in the a**. Too much traffic jam on the bridges, playing vs AI was even a real horror. So I decided to open the waterways according to my first feedback. ;-)

Really good map. The only point i have to make is that, if you are going for the realistic type maps, then nothing on this map should be able to cross the water. - Like the Discription states, its the only bridges in normandy and the allies needed to capture them to able to move heavy armor.
I was expecting a more capture and hold type game with the bridges, but seeing that you can just go around, made it alittle annoying. - Just my opinion - and opinion's are like arseholes, everyone has one. appart from that - Great map! :)

@x_gamer007: Open your map in wordbuilder, go to file and click "export Package". After that your map is exported into the game. To publish your map in steam workshop, search your map in modding hub and click publish.

@FYA :: Chemoxx: Have you checked chapter 1-2, especially 3.4 and 4.2-4.3? Otherwise try to reduce Graphic Settings in chapter 4.1.

Bugsplat right after starting a 4v4 :( and it can't be because of performance :P running everything on max without any problem. only this maps bugs out just after loading

My intention was not to create a bottleneck map like CoH1 famous Hochwald Gap or Achelous River and furthermore I had to keep an eye on balancing both sides, so the river is crossable on different points on both rivers.

The map is originally based on reconnaissances pictures made after the raid. The position of the houses in the two villages on each base side reflect this. The middle part of the map with its farms is my personal creation supporting balance, infantry and vehicle combat.

I am very happy to hear all your suggestions, so I fancy the idea to combine all of these maybe in a republished version of this map as a bottleneck map at night in the near future.

Not a bad map.. Its kind of misleading tho with the bridge, you'd almost think thats the only way across, but, no, the whole river is porous and very crossable. And when you do try to set up tank traps, wire, or sand bags along the bank, the actual border of the river is hard to find and doesn't allow for easy placement. I'd suggest building up the river bank SOMEWHAT (not to the point where its another river crossing bridge but enough to where the river is actually a barricade to an extent) with trees, and especially some buildings where the two bridges area. Otherwise, not a bad start, just like Pitomnik Airfield ;)

good job on the map
was working on a similar one for the original COH, shame my computer died and i lost it. I spent hours looking at any pictures, from teh ground or aireal reconisance, that i could find
good to see someone else put effort into creating it acuratly

Beautiful work, only 1 small issue I have with it . . .units, including tanks can cross the waterways without using the bridges; kind of takes away from the theme of the bridges being vital. My suggestion would be to deepen the water and/or remove crossings other than the bridges . . .would make batteling to keep them /destroy them a lot more critical. Again, beautiful work other than that, thanks!

Like many other map- and modmaker I am currently not able to update this map to (v.1.1) because of Relic´s update-bug. I will update the map as soon as this is been fixed.

it plays really well and both sides feel balanced, i'd say though it would be really nice if there were a night version of the map as the commando raid on pegasus bridge took place at around 3am, maybe some searchlights going too :P Definitely would be super cool! Thanks for creating a great thematic map. It deserves it's place on the community spotlight for sure :D
