Well, I wrote in the desc that it would not be possible to form a new dynasty if you are the head of one :D Why? Becuase why would you want that if you are the head? The reason for forming a new one would be to control one for yourself. So it would be possible but it would somewhat defy common sense - at least I think so :)

PD: To edit a dynasty you need the Customization Pack DLC
I like the sound of it though.

Open the Dynasty screen by clicking your coat of arms on the character screen. Top left next to Coat of arms and dynasty information you'll see an icon (see screen shot 3 above). Click it and go crazy :)
i dunno about save games but it should work - and aslo with ck2+
