The issue back then with spotlights was they completely turned off when it reached a max of 6 (IIRC) at one time and the ones that turned off was seemingly random, causing heavy flickering.
They've since tweaked spotlights to only turn off their shadow casting at that small limit, leaving the projected lights (with bleed) at a higher limit (but still waaay lower than point lights), which would most likely still cause some odd light beaming through.
Point lights are at least consistent so you can design the lighting around knowing that it does bleed through, which is why I guess keen added those unrealistic settings like offset and falloff.
You can make an empty mod (needs just a Data folder, no files) and publish that, then in the workshop page you can add mods as dependencies which will download them automatically when you add that empty mod to your server, it will also serve as a way to link players the list of mods it uses.
I feel like this is one of those mods that should have been added in the vanilla game years ago.
You could launch the game again with a new empty world and add only this mod, that would also check if other mods are breaking it in your normal world.
If it's still not working, now you got a new set of logs that are small and guaranteed to be about this mod, sort by date and the latest SpaceEngineers prefixed .log file would be it.
If you wanna send it to me privately you could do it over discord (Digi#9441) or use a text sharing site (pastebin.com , paste.ofcode.org , etc) and link it here or privately on steam.

I have been using this mod for quite some time, and I really feel it improves the game.
I mainly use it for the fact that it colours the bulps/glass, as rarely for the direct access it provides.
If you ever felt like making a version that only took care of the colouring, I would be grateful. In any case, thank you for the many improvent that you have brought to SE.
the one thing i don't like is that those support posts for the interior light look sort of flimsy... anyway one of the dlcs added the rotating light a while ago any plans to support that? also a heads up, it looks like keen are releasing a new dlc next month that'll add two more spotlights... at least i assume those'll be part of the dlc and not the update.
That's not because of this mod.
You have other mods that overwrite the light's definition without setting HasPhysics to false like vanilla has because they copied an old definition and didn't update it.
Note: If I made a ship with this mod, blueprinted it, and pasted it in a different world without this mod, would the lights still be there and work? Also, if I past a ship made without this mod in a world with this mod, will the lights have controll panels?
Fixed xD
Game restart required if you loaded the previous version of mod in the current game session.
If you loaded this mod in your current game instance you need to reload the game to apply the model dummy changes.
