ive been having some problems woth this mod lately. so i un installed the mod and the small beam is still there. i restarted my pc and its still there

i really like this. the model looks great but the beam :stream::stream::stream: looks a little underwhelming its seems to thin

I kinda like this better. Black Mesa's Gluon Gun sort of looks like a replica made out of plastic.

Hey could you add the animation of twisting the handle for the alt-fire? I really liked that in the mod version and don't understand why the current animation is just inspecting the gun.

Will absolutely look into adjusting the beam. As for the look up/down thing, I'm not totally sure I can adjust that in the weapon itself. I think that's a variable you can define in the console, though.

Hey Chris, think you can update the gluon gun beam to look like the beam the current model fires, your model fires a thin beam, while the current model fires a thicker beam, and the barrel glows on the current model? Also could you make it where when you look up you see more of the weapon and when you look down you see less? The halloween update gave that michanic for all of black mesa's weapons. I'm just curious if could or not, it's your mod up to you.

Well, it worked on my end. Try compiling your models with the line "$illumposition 0 0 0" in the .qc file.

Ok, so after contacting one of the official Crowbar Collective facebook administrators he informed me that he was going to contact one of the teams modeller's regarding the issue of lighting origins. After a few hours he responded to me with the following:

"Source samples light from a single point. This by default the pivot point of the 3D model. You can adjust the lighting origin by changing it in the source 3D software or in the .qc using:

$illumposition 0 0 0

and edit the "0"s to move the origin in X, Y and Z."

Thanks for the reply. I had a similar problem with the new crossbow model before the developers patched it out. In the patch notes it read that they fixed the 'lighting origins' for it. I'm currently waiting for a message back from one of the developers to see how they fixed the issue. I really hope one of us can fix this because these are really good looking models.

Right now I'm actually not sure if this is a problem with the model or due to the fact that for some reason Black Mesa's weapon models are huge. It's something I'll need to look into.
