I had the exact same thing Martoq, I found the files but no matter which I changed (whether it be in the base game files or in the War of the Chosen ones) it didn't effect the game at all.
Martoq 5 Sep, 2017 @ 7:40am
Yeah, I found the file and edited it, and it did nothing. Sorry too hear the game has bummed you out. Thanks for the mods in vanilla take care out there.
Turk  [author] 5 Sep, 2017 @ 7:30am
Yeah sorry man. Don't have money to waste on this game any more. They blew any goodwill with the shit dlc before War of the Chosen. The description of this mod does say what file was edited. I'm sure Chosen has an equivelent file to edit.
Martoq 4 Sep, 2017 @ 9:13pm
Really would love an update for this for War of the Chosen, or at the very least some guidance on how to add the new faction classes to it.
Turk  [author] 19 Jul, 2017 @ 10:53am
Sorry I am done with this game. The DLC took all the enthusiasm I had for this game behind the woodshed and shot it dead.

Can we get an update for this that boosts the Sparks as well?
necron 1 Jul, 2016 @ 5:43am
because of the shen last gift update the stats dont work for the sparks can you make either a seperate mod or update this mod please?
Sarezar 20 May, 2016 @ 3:42pm
After a lot of searching and testing the ini file, it is obvious that once the changes have been applied on a new character, you cannot change their stats back. Any changes will take effect on new recruits in your existing campaign only or in new campaigns.

If anyone has found a way to edit existing recruits after their stats have been generated, please let me know.
Wren 25 Feb, 2016 @ 1:39pm
i might need to try that, but it'll be for something else.

The mod's was clashing with one that was.. absolutely nothing relevant to this one. lol

The enemy buff that increases chrysalid and beserker spawn rates.
Turk  [author] 25 Feb, 2016 @ 1:34pm
It still works for me. Try deleting all the ini files in C:\Users\YourNameHere\Documents\My Games\XCOM2\XComGame\Config

The game will rebuild those ini's when you start the game again.
Wren 25 Feb, 2016 @ 12:08pm
Does this mod need updating, it seems to have stopped working, along with other mods.
birdhurst 19 Feb, 2016 @ 10:57am
useless
birdhurst 19 Feb, 2016 @ 10:57am
and it crashed my game 4 times
birdhurst 19 Feb, 2016 @ 10:57am
fuck this useless mod it doesnt work
Turk  [author] 18 Feb, 2016 @ 1:04pm
No idea man. Not really sure about some of those stats.Or if they actually do anything. Lot of it you gotta use trial and error and use alot of new games to see if it does anything.
Turk  [author] 18 Feb, 2016 @ 12:59pm
Edit the file XComGameData_CharacterStats.ini in a text editing program of your choice. It can be found in Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\268500\617495846\Config

You really need to install the XCOM 2 Developer Tools. It has some nice pdf's about how modding works. I only changed some numerical values found in that ini file. I'm not a modding genius of any kind.

I'm also not into your multiple comment here one after another. Take a chill pill and put your thoughts into one post at a time. I'm going to end up just ignoring your comments from here on in if you keep up this rapid fire comment vomit.
Karamethien 16 Feb, 2016 @ 3:45am
Not sure why, but my troops no longer score criticals
gjmartin269 14 Feb, 2016 @ 4:02pm
Ok, I found a fix. When unsubscribing the mod does reset all of the values to default in the ini files but it doesn't seem to take for whatever reason, simply changing one of those values e.g. health from 5 to 10 reset everything. For anyone with the same issue go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\XCOM 2\XComGame\Config anf look for the DefaultGameDate_CharacterStats file and change the values.

When I changed the HP to 10 and started the game I had 5 as normal and all of my other stats were adjusted back, I have changed it back to 5 now and everything has stayed normal.
gjmartin269 14 Feb, 2016 @ 3:20pm
Can you tell me how to get rid of this mod, I found it made the game way too easy. I have tried deactivating it and even unsubscribing but I am still left with troopers with really high stats when I start a new game.
Syreus 12 Feb, 2016 @ 8:02pm
Only thing i have to add to Turk's comment is that you may have to create the "Mods" folder.
Turk  [author] 12 Feb, 2016 @ 7:58pm
Biggest thing I think is to copy any mod you want to alter into Steam\SteamApps\common\XCOM 2\XComGame\Mods

That way you can load the a copy of the mod that won't get overwriten when a mod author updates. Just take and copy whatever number based folder into that location. For example my mod lives in Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\268500

Rename 268500 to the Mods name and you should be able to load your altered mod then instead of the one downloaded off of the workshop.
Syreus 12 Feb, 2016 @ 7:49pm
@ferret You can adjust the value to fit your own preference. You can even make your own small mod with your reworked tweaks. Let me know if i can help.
ferret 11 Feb, 2016 @ 11:49pm
This would be great if it didnt have such a big mobility boost.
Syreus 10 Feb, 2016 @ 2:28pm
@SayHelloToMyLittleFriend

This mod wil not effect pre-existing soldiers and rookies already stocked in the recruit menu.

Once you get new rookies they will be effected.
BEAVER LOVER 7 Feb, 2016 @ 5:44pm
when i tried it it only worked after staring a new campain.
Martoq 7 Feb, 2016 @ 4:49pm
Finaaly got the mod to work. Had to uninstall from my 250 GB SSD and put it on my 2 TB HDD, where most of my games are installed. For some reason it just didn't use the mods when not installed on the same drive that Steam is installed.
CrankyPoet 7 Feb, 2016 @ 2:39am
Just subscribing is enough. make sure to restart the game and klick on the mod from the launcher
BEAVER LOVER 7 Feb, 2016 @ 2:03am
will subscribing to this mod do the trick or do i have to copy everything and paste it?
Turk  [author] 7 Feb, 2016 @ 1:39am
Image updated.
Syreus 7 Feb, 2016 @ 1:32am
No worries; To my knoledge this should work for all those soldiers generated at game start and in the barracks. I am not sure if it will work to the same degree on reward troops and those you can recruit via black market. If I find any issues I will be sure to let you know. Good luck.
Turk  [author] 7 Feb, 2016 @ 1:23am
Sorry was just trying to keep the comments tidy.
Syreus 7 Feb, 2016 @ 1:22am
I am glad that I was able to shed some light on the problem but did you really have to delete my previous comments?
SharpChipmunk 6 Feb, 2016 @ 11:47pm
Cool mod. It'd be better if someone made a mod like "Not created equally" like in EW. The base game is more like attack of the clones.
Martoq 6 Feb, 2016 @ 6:43pm
Doesn't seem to be working for me. Its subscribed and its in the games workshop folder and I tagged it in the launcher. Just isn't working for me. The other mod I subbed to isn't working either, the Tweaked Timers Mod.
Darth Swiss 6 Feb, 2016 @ 6:12pm
@Shaddrock I found out it is on new recruits only and you have to make sure to change the difficulty override as well further down
Falatier 6 Feb, 2016 @ 4:26pm
i dare say this would only work for new recruits
Angry Skeletor 6 Feb, 2016 @ 2:43pm
@Darth Swiss, I noticed that at first myself. It may take a few missions for it to start to work I think.
Turk  [author] 6 Feb, 2016 @ 2:43pm
I honestly don't know how it actually works. I started using it on a new game. So it may only change new recruits.
Darth Swiss 6 Feb, 2016 @ 2:19pm
When i edit it myself, Doesn't make the changes ingame? Any idea why?
dragon-X 6 Feb, 2016 @ 1:59pm
love it

:steamhappy:
Turk  [author] 6 Feb, 2016 @ 11:45am
Your welcome Alafian.
Alafian 6 Feb, 2016 @ 11:42am
Thx for this small ini Mod it helped me to edit self the Ini.
