Dude, São Vitória would be a drag, because São is for men and Vitória is a woman. The correct form is Santa Vitória.

update: I just loaded the map into map editor and saved it as a new map and now it's fine. You probably just need to do the same and re-upload this map on here.

Very pretty map BTW.

when i tried to start a new game it said this map has no connections at all (highway, plane, ship, etc).

Interesting map, but its name has a problem: São Vitória is incorrect· São is a masculine word, and Vitória is feminine, so it sounds pretty off· If it was Vitório instead of Vitória, wouldn't·

Instead of São, you must use Santa, its feminine form, being Santa Vitória· Or you can call it São Vitório, all masculine· Or even Santo Vitório, São is Saint and Santo is Holy, but in place names, Santo is used more like an alternative form of São·

In Portuguese by default, words ending with O are masculine and words ending with A are femenine, and there are really few exceptions·

@CitiesOne: Not sure what's going on there mate, usually it's mods that screw up this game. I have heard that there have been issues with custom maps for a while but I'm not quite sure what that issue was about. I think you might be better of asking on a forum for a solution, I'm afraid I can't help

@NipponGo: Aye I got it pointed out to me on Reddit when I posted it. Someday maybe I'll dare to try and update it, but for now I'll leave it as a testament to my lackluster portugese-skills :)

*more, not me (my name is Vitória, so I guess freudian slip).

São Vitória isn't a good name for this, São is masculine, Vitória is feminine. Santa Vitória would be me appropriate.

@Quboid: Hmm a few reasons I guess, I think mainly I like to make a distinction between an actual beach and a rocky shoreline. The cliffs in the "inner" bay are intentionally a bit higher than the "outer", partly because of the heightmaps being pretty high in elevation close to where I placed the bay and I didn't want to start messing too much with the mountains.

Your maps are beautiful. The only problem is that shorelines are very steep, which makes placing some things like beach assets a bit tricky. Is this because of the original heightmaps?
