@Tte.Ironhand Justice THANK YOU for saying this! I kept getting CTD's over and over right as I was upgrading my armor and was having a hard time figuring out why (I subscribed to this mod loooong ago and just recently reinstalled XCOM 2). Removed the mod and I'm now all set!
Tte.Ironhand Justice 23 Jun, 2018 @ 4:23am
This mod causes some crash issues with WOTC. Do not enable it as it causes CTD when upgrading to predator armor.

Props to the Kevin Nash fan club photo. :steamhappy:
vulchor 30 Aug, 2017 @ 2:09am
@Katohan do you still know how to update this? You didn't maintain the Nexus version and now we've been in need of an update, especially since WOTC is released.
kolodny  [author] 14 Nov, 2016 @ 3:11pm
yo, thanks for giving credit. good luck to you
katohan 14 Nov, 2016 @ 2:30pm
ok so I updated this mod with the casual stuff from first DLC and it supports all the same suits as the original. You can get it from:

http://www.nexusmods.com/xcom2/mods/626?

You will have the option to download just the updated config for this original mod or clean nonworkshop version.
katohan 14 Nov, 2016 @ 11:02am
I KNOW HOW TO UPDATE THIS!...But. how do you upload to the workshop? And I don't want to steal from the author not even when just updating the old version to current one. But I made a test for myself and got all of them working on my predator armor and it is just simple line of text over and over again for each part.

Good god the default Predator armour with chromed out edges looks ridiculous. Or maybe I'm just a grumpy old military dude. Thanks for this.
Sirabot 20 May, 2016 @ 8:20pm
Too be clear, this mod still works fine with all DLC installed for me. And many other mods. It just doesn't add any new functionality for the new DLC cosmetics. Still 100% better than the other mods that "try" and fail to do what this mod does.
Sirabot 19 May, 2016 @ 3:34am
I understand, I just find it amazing that Dave's mod creates dupes, Doodil's mod creates doops and corrupts saved games, Progressive Armor crashes my game when loading save games in missions. You have the only mod that works. lol.
kolodny  [author] 18 May, 2016 @ 8:42am
the problem is that just to do what this mod does takes like ~500 lines in the ini file, so every time they release a DLC with new options or new armors that basically doubles or triples and it's really fucking tedious work
Sirabot 18 May, 2016 @ 8:27am
God I miss you Jake. All of the other mods that do this create duplicate entries in props. I can't manage with 200+ chest options 4-5 of which look the same. I'm dying.
lonewolf45622 15 May, 2016 @ 5:28pm
well damn, i see. well the best thing is you tried friend
kolodny  [author] 15 May, 2016 @ 5:27pm
there is no easy way to turn off randomization of appearance for soldiers or to set it so only the default parts are chosen for new soldiers. i tried doing this for the entire time i was maintaining this mod
lonewolf45622 15 May, 2016 @ 5:20pm
even if you can not maintain it friend, could you make it where it doe not randomly shove armor onto soldiers? (if able friend)
kolodny  [author] 13 May, 2016 @ 1:15pm
me too! i've just been way too busy with work to maintain it
sraray 13 May, 2016 @ 12:16pm
Sad to see this mod go :(
kolodny  [author] 19 Mar, 2016 @ 4:06am
the ladies love kevin nash
barentsoya 18 Mar, 2016 @ 11:29pm
And ... uh ... what's with the mod picture?
Kelloggs 18 Mar, 2016 @ 9:34pm
@jake

Good point, I haven't thought like that
kolodny  [author] 18 Mar, 2016 @ 8:07pm
support for the civilian clothing is really gonna turn it into a mess considering most of that stuff is torsos with arms and legs glued to them, causing weird clipping issues...the anarchy's children stuff i'm going to add in the update is probably going to clutter it up enough
Kelloggs 18 Mar, 2016 @ 7:41pm
Please consider allowing us to choose the civilian clothing as well.

I really appreciate your mod. Thank you for sharing.
barentsoya 18 Mar, 2016 @ 6:23pm
Thanks for the update and for this great mod!
Dick Justice 17 Mar, 2016 @ 3:35pm
I can wait, appreciate the fact that you plan to update it.
kolodny  [author] 17 Mar, 2016 @ 12:47pm
def. give me some time to do it bc I don't have any free time to code until this weekend at the earliest
Dick Justice 17 Mar, 2016 @ 10:54am
Could you update this so we can use the new Anarchy's Children kevlar/predator armour props at warden level?
arkaeyn 29 Feb, 2016 @ 1:43am
Backrow, I haven't even had success with mods like this successfully saving in the character pool--when I come back it's randomized. Though it's been a week or more since I tried, so if that's fixed, yeah, loading from the pool is a decent band-aid.
Cynath 28 Feb, 2016 @ 7:03am
Arkaeyn, simply use the load from character pool mod and reload after every tier, with this mod or one like it.
arkaeyn 27 Feb, 2016 @ 11:27pm
I am commenting as a character pool creator to say that, if you can figure out how to lock-in looks for characters, I will be grateful forever. :riches:
Captain_Brian 25 Feb, 2016 @ 12:09am
Does this mod include civillian armors, or is it planned to add civillian clothing options? Thanks, awesome work!
Choppa 22 Feb, 2016 @ 12:06pm
lulz just started a new campaign, open my soldiers to customize, and it looks like I am missing a ton of arms and leg options.

I'm all like: "Why cant I do the resistence torso/other arms/legs mix n match thing with all the armors like before???" (--I thought I found a few combos that looked aight while testing the mod before I decided to add it to my next playthrough list).

Then I come here to see if something has changed, re-read the description, and I'm like DURRR.
I DON'T HAVE Pred or > armors yet! So of course I can't choose thier arms/legs!!!

Reading. It's funformentals! Err... I mean fundamental! ;p

Anywho. Thanks for making this mod! Your efforts are appreciated!

Aquarius 21 Feb, 2016 @ 1:18pm
Works perfectly fine, thank you! If the "Symmetrical Kevlar Arms" mod could be integrated it would be even better!
Sirabot 21 Feb, 2016 @ 10:49am
Yeah, I wouldn't worry about it dude.
Sirabot 21 Feb, 2016 @ 10:48am
The easiest Solition for people that have a problem with random rookie props would be to just get the mod that only pulls soldiers out of the pool and then maybe the Global Uniform Mod?
kolodny  [author] 21 Feb, 2016 @ 10:46am
you'll just have to deal with the minor annoyance of rookies having random stuff on at first. i have been trying to figure this out since i made the mod and it's starting to make my head fuckin spin
Sirabot 21 Feb, 2016 @ 10:45am
Oh and with the way Doodil made his mod, Every armor mod that adds any props, gets duplicated once for every armor tier. so you always end up with x4 dupes.
Sirabot 21 Feb, 2016 @ 10:43am
Yeah, doodil's mod kinda sucks tbh. And I had his mod. My rookies showed up with random pieces too. That plus the duplication made the issue much worse. So no lol
kolodny  [author] 21 Feb, 2016 @ 10:41am
i'm literally looking at the character generation script and because of the way my mod's implementation works and the way character generation works there's not really anything i can do about it. like i said earlier, i'd have to rewrite my mod to work like doodil's and then you'd end up with duplicates and all that stuff but at least your rookies would be generating properly, i guess?
Sirabot 21 Feb, 2016 @ 8:51am
Welp, you're the only one with a mod that works and doesn't break shit. Maybe you should go the extra mile of being the best and contact firaxis about this issue. It could be an engine issue similar to the Armory Voice crash. ;D
kolodny  [author] 20 Feb, 2016 @ 9:23pm
i tried that and for whatever reason my parts would never appear for veteran troops
Mizrath 20 Feb, 2016 @ 9:12pm
What if you locked all of the options behind rank?
Cynath 20 Feb, 2016 @ 10:23am
i only use pool guys, so no issue here for me tbh. thanks for the update Jake.
kolodny  [author] 20 Feb, 2016 @ 10:05am
that being said, I did add helmets to my mod in the latest update so have fun with that
kolodny  [author] 20 Feb, 2016 @ 9:52am
so after spending the past few days trying to wrap my head around not getting rookies to spawn with all the parts available, all i've been able to come up with is a way to do it...if i changed my mod to work in the fucked up way that doodil's mod works.

i think we might just have to live in a world where you have to make sure your rookies look however you want, guys
Sirabot 19 Feb, 2016 @ 8:33pm
Jake, I just read your update notes. I haven't laughed so hard in months LOL damn
Ser Lancelot 19 Feb, 2016 @ 7:14pm
well, i havent gotten that far into the game :P and for some starting games, id like a "storyline" where XCOM hired some space rangers, say like the silverhawks? :P
kolodny  [author] 19 Feb, 2016 @ 7:08pm
@ser lancelot
don't you get those helmets for every armor anyway when you research the thing?
Sirabot 19 Feb, 2016 @ 1:55pm
I actually figured out why Doodil's ALL armor options creates duplicate prop entries. It's because it adds all of the prop entries for every armor type, to every armor entry. For example Adding Kevalar's, Spider's, Wraith's, EXO's, Powered Armor's And all Civillian's Prop entries to Powered Armor's selectible chest Props. Causing Powered Armors prop options to show up more than once when actually wearing/equipped powered armor. If that makes sense? It's basically all of the other armor types Prop options bleeding over into each other because "no restrictions".
Ser Lancelot 19 Feb, 2016 @ 12:34pm
@Jake, for some reason, every single armor customization mod here on steam and nexus doesn't unlock the powered/plated helmets? the ones that are futuristic, sleek, and has glass visors? every time i open one of those files, im hoping to find those helmets, but nope...
Ser Lancelot 19 Feb, 2016 @ 8:41am
@Ehrlich, is there any way to pare down the exorbitant list by cutting out the duplicates? Sending you a friend request so we could discuss this, thanks.
