Probably not no. Please use my specific WOTC class which was built from ground up should you want to use WOTC.

I need to update the mod to be honest in order to address the Equipment being greyed out. Just do not have the time currently. When I do, it will be updated. :/

@Starknight'Renegade As described in the main mod, yes the Pistol is their only weapon.
"Officer Equipment" is more of extra buffs instead of a primary. Its in the primary slot.

In the case of LW2 though, I'm still fiddling with it.
I've found if you have a class changer mod, and equip the pistol in the utility slot, he can use it then.
However, they then seem to lose "Officer Equipment" on change back.
I'll let you know if I find a work around if it isn't updated before then.

Quick question, does the officer only get the handgun for his weapon? and there is no officer equipment....also you can't equip his handgun in the Long War 2 mod....

Yes that is.....odd as it should work. Well failing that yes, renaming it solves the issue all the same :P
It doesn't bypass the missing content problem. I did the same as Argh Dreaded and renamed the file, so i can play the game now, but several times in the pass this has happened, and every time the Ignore Missing Content mod doesn't do anything. I have a feeling that i did something wrong to make it do that, but i have no idea what.

(You have to have both this mod and the one linked above.
And checked enabled from game mod launcher for the class to work.)
I have that mod, and for me at least, it does nothing.

Hey, just managed to reactivate this pistol for use with the officer, cause I wanted to know if it could be done. however I cannot seem to edit the .u file,as when ever I trie the mod breaks the game afterwards (even after changing the stats back). how do you do that? I'm trying to learn modding this game (and in general) right now, would appreciate your help, thanks :)

Well it should work without it because I don't use this anymore at all. Although in the short term it will probably be re-instated as a requirement as I will be introducing all 3 secondaries as main weapons.

While this is on hold, I have to say that this seems to be required no matter what, as when I used a soldier with the officer class the pistol wouldn't fire no matter what

I think a lot of people mainly want both Pistols and Swords available as primary weapons for custom class mod creation - not just combining them I see a lot of requests for Sword /Amp classes too on reddit. Basically, Im seeing your mod for pistol primary, and wanting sword primaries too ;P

If a Pistol/sword class would appease people I can do so in the coming days. Would not be difficult at all.

It would be a light class of course like based off a hybird socut or something.

I guess I'm in the same boat as A Big Hairy Monster in that it would awesome if you could give a rundown on how you did this. I am also working a pistol only class, as well making a sword-psionics character, so any tips on how to make secondaries into primaries would be awesome.

Anyways, thanks for the awesome moid and keep up the good work.

@A Big Hairy Monster: PLEASE keep me posted (friend request is out) aabout if/how your sword-primary mod is progressing? I'm hoping to someday have a class that uses swords and pistols, and since neither of them are intended as primary weapons...

a great deal of mods in games require other mods in order to function. anyone who calls this download whoring is an idiot. 1 requirement... 1? that's not whoring. some new vegas companion mods require 16. 16! so i hope kouassi doesn't lose the desire to keep working on this project as i for one like the concept. i havent had the chance to download it myself yet as i'm posting from my phone but i'd like to ask. can all classes use this? i'd love to have a sword/pistol ranger.

I don't suppose you'd be able to give me a fast rundown on how you did this? Not only do I want a pistol-primary class in my own classmod, I'm also looking to mod in a sword-primary. I'm just interested in the base process you used to make the pistol into a primary. (Kinda hoping its something simple)

Because I do not want my class to use the default secondary weapons and secondly because I use my own primary weapon for my own class which has it's own unique stats as will future counterparts for the said class.

It is not unusual for modders to have additonal files/requirements for their own main creations.

If somehow downloading 2 files puts you off and is resulting in you becoming a "Download whore" then by all means do not use this. It will not affect the way in which this mod is compiled at this stage.

(For people's convienience perhaps at a later stage once I have more content included I may re-design the way in which I have set up them as described in prior posts)

I'm confused why your Officer mod requires this one to function? As opposed to making the Officer compatible with default pistols and just make this mod an optional add-on.

Kind of comes across as "download whoring" for lack of a better term and doesn't make me want to subscribe to either one.

Actually my Pistol does more damage than the mag pistol however once you get Beam weapons, it suffers from a damage gap of -1 in comparison to beam pistol but it has the accuracy and critical bonuses to make up for it.

I will probably make tier weapons in future though for the class as it does make sense or I will completely scrap the idea of even having a Primary Pistol Weapon at all and just work from the existing secondaries with the respective damages in by default. Most likely make my own though.

dude i love the class but is there a way you could make next teir versions as well because once you unlock the mag pistol this gun becomes pretty basic

Just the way that I made the mod lol. Also in case I decide to make any future weapons or change the class in such a way that it does become separate or changes to a weapon pack for example.
