This is by far the best mod for this game on the workshop, well done

Some suggestions:

-Use the custom table instead of this hex, its bigger plus it doesnt have borders and since this game doesnt use dice we should be good.

-the drawer is unnecessary and since the custom table is bigger you can just put everything on top of the table then everyone has easy access to the rule book and extra cards etc..

thanks

Hey man, thanks for acting so quickly! It's cool you see how much you care about the usability of your mod. Massive props to you!

Updated with custom pouches to replace default bag models.

Goat Religion Emporium thanks for the feedback, I've uploaded a new version which should address your nitpicks 1-4! It does add another step or two to setup for advanced players, but should make new player game setup a lot more straightforward. As for your feature request, I don't believe changing the bag model will help making it clear whose bribe money is whose, but I will look into solutions for addressing that. I'll keep an eye out on global chat, see if I can hop into a public game to spectate and get more feedback on this issue. As for the bag model, I have looked both in and out of the workshop for an appropriate sleeve obj, and could not find anything remotely close or usable. If someone with that skillset would like to model one, I would certainly consider including it.

I also have a feature request. In the IRL game the merchant bags are simple sleeves, making it easy to place your bribes on top of your merchant bag, making it crystal clear whose bribe money it was. The default TTS bag models don't really allow this. It would be great if you could use or even make a sleeve-like bag model for the merchant bags.

You did a good job with this, but I have some nitpicks:
1. Even if you don't accept the random zone's request to shuffle, you've saved the decks pre-shuffled. This wouldn't be that big an issue if it wasn't for the next two points.
2. You've included the royal cards in the main deck. The official rules recommend removing these for your first few games.
3. The 4+ marking on cards is not consistent with the physical version. 1 bleu cheese, pumpernickel bread, and royal rooster card, as well as 4 pepper, 5 mead, and 3 silk cards should have the marking but don't. Both golden apple cards have the marking when only 1 should. This isn't a major issue as you can use the table to get the right numbers, but for somebody who doesn't know about the inconsistency you can end up removing the incorrect amount of cards for a three-player game.
4. Snapping is only used for goods cards, but everything has snapping enabled, meaning merchant bags and money snap to your player card when they shouldn't.

@Rari Thanks! You're an amazing person and i like how you read comments and fix problems! Keep up the good work :VC_LANCER:

Saves are saved locally, I'm afraid I cannot make direct changes to your saved game. I can give you instructions for editing the file though. Before you do anything below, I'd suggest saving another copy of your saved game state.

Go to Documents\My Games\Tabletop Simulator\Saves and open the TS_Save_#.json file that matches up with your sheriff save with an advanced text editor (I use notepad++, but something like brackets would also work).

Find and replace all instances of:
"BackIsHidden": false

with

"BackIsHidden": true

and then save the file.

@Rari do i have to re-sub or change my current save? Cause i moved stuff in it and i can do it again, it would just be a bugger to :p
Jenna Juffuffles  [author] 27 Mar, 2016 @ 6:04am
@ColoursOnGoddess glad you've enjoyed my upload so much. card state should now be properly hidden on all cards in the game! always glad to fix bugs.
Tophatsss 26 Mar, 2016 @ 8:20pm
This is great! Really clean and crisp. The only problem is that expansion cards won't turn black when face up in an opponant's hand like normal goods and such will. Instead, the expansion cards will be face down (showing the sack on the back) no matter which way you flip it. I would really like to use the expansion cards if you're able to fix this glitch. Other than that it's really good, just like my set in real life! :spirallove:

Thanks ThatRPGuy, glad you dig this version!
[FeVR]StarSageVR 17 Mar, 2016 @ 4:11pm
This is WAY better than the other version of Sheriff I've found on here. Thanks!

@Sir Papercut -- I have no real explanation for this bug, it's new afaik. The table is using default hands. I managed to recreate the bug a few times in my upload of the game. I've reloaded the default table into the game and that seems to have fixed it. Uploaded with this change, and if that does not solve the problem please let me know and I will try working out a different solution.

My friends and I tried to play this, but when having six cards in the hand all the cards start like stacking up and stuff. it's really weird... and it kinda sucks, we can't look at our whole hand.
Milkyage 13 Feb, 2016 @ 2:02pm
@Rari, perfect thank you so much! this is the best version of this game and I'm so glad you could fix this! :D great job!
Jenna Juffuffles  [author] 13 Feb, 2016 @ 11:36am
@Czapens -- The bags can be unlocked if you find moving them adds to your gameplay. I was worried they'd end up in the hidden zones more often than not, so I locked them in place.
Chappy 13 Feb, 2016 @ 10:47am
I wanted to address the colour issue, but now it works! I just wanted to ask if there is a possibility to move the bags and nullify the zones? Moving the bag is a great intimidation tactic as the sheriff :)
Jenna Juffuffles  [author] 13 Feb, 2016 @ 7:11am
@Milkyage Thank you for bringing that to my attention! I've just released an update that should fix that problem. This table bugs out if the colors aren't in the original location; I thought I'd found a work around but apparently that didn't last very long.

I've also added rotating snaps in place of regular snaps on the merchant stalls for placing cards -- it's way less fussy to use now!
Milkyage 13 Feb, 2016 @ 2:20am
Hey Rari, I'm having an issue where the player names are at the wrong points on the table when selecting a colour. The image is in the right place but the name isn't.
Jenna Juffuffles  [author] 12 Feb, 2016 @ 3:23pm
Glad you're enjoying it, @Czapens!

@Asti -- Sexy sheriff gunna get ya!! Unfortunately making the physical cards themselves larger won't allow me to fit everything on the table. My play group hasn't reported any issue reading the text elements within the ALT preview, but I'll keep it in mind as an option if more tables become available.
Chappy 12 Feb, 2016 @ 9:57am
Thank you!
Asti 11 Feb, 2016 @ 9:55am
Thank you for crediting :g: Nice work! Just a friendly tip: Make the elements with smaller texts more zoomable, e.g. Gambler's Risk cards or the FAQ is a little bit hard to read.

Dat sheriff marker is damn sexy tho :)

@darleth Thank you very much!
