I don't play nor have any of the modding stuff for this game installed anymore so there is basically no chance to any changes/new versions of it.

Unfortunate as it seems that is the truth for it. If someone wanted to make a new version they'd have to get permission from the maker of the original flag Poindexter not me. I'm fine with people making over versions of patches for this mod but his permission is still needed as it's his assets that are used.

Any chance you can make a version that exempts the new factions? After all, they are XCOM allies, but they are not actual XCOM members.

On a practical note I'd like to combine this with the "factions flag mod" without mod conflicts.

No problem.
CPT Drumheller 10 Jan, 2018 @ 4:51pm
Thank you for making the mod. It always annoyed me that everyone had their own country flag when we were all supposed to be fighting together for humanity :p
MrBlazzar™  [author] 10 Jan, 2018 @ 4:49pm
Perfect @Drumheller Thank you very much for confirming this.
CPT Drumheller 10 Jan, 2018 @ 3:50pm
After ~10 hours or so in my new LW2 campaign last night it doesn't look like this mod has any issues with vanilla XCOM 2
MrBlazzar™  [author] 9 Jan, 2018 @ 3:04pm
I have the old one. I can upload it if this version doesn't work for the old campaign.
CPT Drumheller 9 Jan, 2018 @ 2:54pm
did you keep the old one for people that aren't playing WotC?
MrBlazzar™  [author] 9 Jan, 2018 @ 1:39pm
Uhh not sure. I made it with the WotC dev kit so not sure?
CPT Drumheller 9 Jan, 2018 @ 12:45pm
Does this only work with WOTC now or is it compatible with vanilla and WOTC?
MrBlazzar™  [author] 7 Jan, 2018 @ 6:46am
@Everyone should work with WotC now. Let me know.
MrBlazzar™  [author] 3 Sep, 2017 @ 5:14am
@voice_of_enigma @everyone currently this mod does infact run with War of the Chosen the flags for the new soldiers in the UI is still theirs and not the XCom but it does infact work 100% from what I can tell.

I will look into getting it updated somehow so it shows in the WOTC launcher without that ! sign but for now know it should infact work with WOTC.
MrBlazzar™  [author] 3 Sep, 2017 @ 4:45am
@voice_of_enigma I don't own the new DLC so not sure If I can update it for that. I'll see what I can do.
voice of enigma 3 Sep, 2017 @ 3:13am
update pls
Radd 5 Jul, 2017 @ 6:12pm
Man thank you for this! I have been having a hard time getting into XCOM2 over the past few months because of all the different flags. This will at least mask that. Appreciate it.
Tragopan 7 Feb, 2017 @ 9:31am
Thank you so much!
MrBlazzar™  [author] 6 Feb, 2017 @ 3:05pm
@Tragopan I created the mod that repalces only the flag on their back but preserves the UI flag of their nationality.
MrBlazzar™  [author] 6 Feb, 2017 @ 1:39pm
Also even with SPARK support the mod doesn't seem to need the DLC as I was able to launch the game without the DLC installed.

If this isn't the case for someone tell me and I'll mark it as needing the DLC but for now I'll leave it as not needing as my game seemed to launch fine.
MrBlazzar™  [author] 6 Feb, 2017 @ 1:29pm
Alright everyone. I updated this mod. No need to get a new one. Sorry for the inconvience this may have caused anyone.
Jorkie 28 Jan, 2017 @ 5:36am
Could you maybe take a look at the spark flag ? Mod doesn't change them so he it looks out off place in the barracks ^^
Tragopan 26 Jan, 2017 @ 7:46pm
Thank you!
MrBlazzar™  [author] 26 Jan, 2017 @ 7:42pm
It also depends on if I can get the textures again to make another one. Need to talk to POINDEXTER and see if he still has a copy or can make new ones for me to do it.
MrBlazzar™  [author] 26 Jan, 2017 @ 7:09pm
@Tragopan I haven't done any modding in XCom 2 forever but I can give it a look if I get some free time sometime soon. Of course that depends if I can get the XCom 2 modding tools up and running since I had to delete those a long time ago.

I will look into it and see what I can do.
Tragopan 26 Jan, 2017 @ 6:47pm
Hey there! I really love your flag replacer, but I had a request for it. Would you be willing to upload a version where the flag only replaces the decal on the back of the soldier but leaves the national flags in tact on squad lists/Avenger stuff?
MrBlazzar™  [author] 30 Nov, 2016 @ 7:19am
@Sawtooth "44" ForgeFire I have made one already. Chec my workshop and you should see it.
Sawtooth44 30 Nov, 2016 @ 4:39am
could you have a seperate version that has its own flag and is not a replacer?
ZoidbergForPresident 25 Mar, 2016 @ 8:33am
This kind of shocked me: alien overseer control us but we still hide beind country flags? Ugh.

Subbed, and thanks.
MrBlazzar™  [author] 26 Feb, 2016 @ 3:24am
A: No. It replaces all default country flags with a XCOM flag from POINDEXTER.
ndubber 26 Feb, 2016 @ 3:07am
Q: Does this mod have the Welsh flag
zwt100 24 Feb, 2016 @ 3:17pm
Thanks for the response! I'll give it a try later this evening. And no need to apologize, it's a great mod. I played through with it on last night and really liked it. My main issue is that right now I'm trying to create a pool of characters and I like having the little flags next to their portraits while making them. Seems like a simple enough fix. Thanks again!
MrBlazzar™  [author] 24 Feb, 2016 @ 7:02am
Another thing you could do is to go into the workshop folder and delete everything in and then make a blank text file and rename it to XComFlagforallCountries.XComMod and then enable it that should make the game load your save but then it should make it so the mod does literally nothing and should restore your flags.

I have no intention of updating the mod unless I figure out that I can fix the weird American flag problem. But the above worked perfectly when I tested it out just remember to keep it loaded after you do it.
MrBlazzar™  [author] 24 Feb, 2016 @ 6:24am
@zwt100 Alright so the way I told Kapwn to fix it, which seemed to work, was to resub to the mod and to a mod called "Ignore Missing Content" and then load the save with my mod. Then be in game with both of those mods enabled. Then save and quit and uncheck my mod but don't unsub yet. After you unchecked it reload the game were you have mine enable then in the esc menu click the option that resets the saved list of required mods and then save in a new game slot. That should have fixed the issue.

I haven't been able to reproduce this bug so I have no idea why it happens.

Sorry that this is happening I have no idea what so ever that would cause this and I don't have the mod tools installed anymore to figure out it would do this. I'll do some research this weekend and see if I can figure out if this is something on my end or just something the game will do.
zwt100 23 Feb, 2016 @ 8:22pm
I'm having the same problem as King Kapwn. I subscribed and enabled the mod to check it out but when I disabled it and started a new game the character in the main menu and all of my created characters had U.S. flags on their armor no matter what country they were from. None of their native flags showed up beside their names either, just missing images. I read through the comments and honestly still don't understand how to fix the issue. I've tried re-subscribing to it, enabling it, refreshing the mods, disabling it, and unsubscribing again and again in pretty much every order but I still can't get it to work. I'm sure there's an easy fix but I don't use a lot of mods so I pretty much suck at this.
asdf0716 19 Feb, 2016 @ 7:38pm
I love this mod.
MrBlazzar™  [author] 19 Feb, 2016 @ 4:34am
Yes it is indeed. And no problem.
John King 18 Feb, 2016 @ 7:44pm
Seems to be back in order, Thank you, Also nice profile picture, A Custodes right?
MrBlazzar™  [author] 18 Feb, 2016 @ 7:40pm
Make sure to disable the mod and using the Ignore Content mod check if the flags are working then reset the mods and save.
John King 18 Feb, 2016 @ 7:39pm
Alright, thank you for the help!
MrBlazzar™  [author] 18 Feb, 2016 @ 7:38pm
Interesting I just tested starting a game with it then turn it off and I did not have this issue.

I have no real idea why this would be the case. When I tested disabling I didn't unsub just used the Ignore Missing Content mod and it seemed to work fine.

Might want to try resubbing using the ignore content mod see if that fixes the problem then reset the mods used in the save resaving then unsub from the mod.
John King 18 Feb, 2016 @ 7:19pm
I disabled and Unsubscribed from the mod and all the flags no longer have a small version in corner and then all the vanilia flags are now US Flags
MrBlazzar™  [author] 18 Feb, 2016 @ 7:16pm
@King Kapwn
Did you uninstall it and get this issue or just delete the UPK and get this?

What I am asking is how did you remove them. If you simply deleted the UPK and left the mod on you won't have any flags since I changed all the paths to use my UPK instead of the games default one.

If you want to keep your save and just remove this mod which should be 100% safe as all I do is override the path for the flag and it worked when I tested removing the mod this way to do just disable the mod in the launcher and use the "Ignore missing content" mod ( located here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=619141883&searchtext=ignore ) if you can't load the save without the mod installed.
John King 18 Feb, 2016 @ 6:28pm
Help, I accidently installed this mod not realising it replaced all the country flags (My own fault really) But now after removing them I have no Flags, Could someone please give me the vanilia flag files?
MrBlazzar™  [author] 17 Feb, 2016 @ 6:21am
@Ehrlich Of Sirabot, I've seen it spelled multiple ways this was just the first one I saw so I stuck with it.
MrBlazzar™  [author] 17 Feb, 2016 @ 6:20am
@minos Ya I made it with vanilla countries in mind. Might look into making a patch, not sure how many people would actually use it though.
MarbleTown 17 Feb, 2016 @ 12:53am
This Mod makes alot of sense for lore purposes
MINOS 16 Feb, 2016 @ 11:31pm
Sadly it doesn't work with custom Countries - only with vanilla Countries.

Just wanted to note ;)

Maybe you could make compatible Versions with the one, big Countries Mod on here.
Sirabot 16 Feb, 2016 @ 8:35pm
You know the one thing that prevents me from using this mod? The lowercase in Xcom. It's XCOM, not Xcom. It bothers me. lol otherwise, I love the flag and the function of all countries.
MINOS 11 Feb, 2016 @ 9:24am
Wow, i've waited for Something like that!
Elrigh 11 Feb, 2016 @ 9:21am
Thanks a lot!
CPT Drumheller 11 Feb, 2016 @ 6:30am
Yes! Thank you!
