I tried this with WOTC and my game's geoscape had 10-15 fps, it usually runs geoscape 60 no problems, just a note of caution while using this with WOTC.
Nighthawkmk2 30 Apr, 2018 @ 5:18pm
Does this mod work with LW2?
Dragon32 3 Feb, 2018 @ 2:30am
@Ramborc:
It's something you buy in the GTS.

Hi guys. Can anyone point me in the direction of the 'Stay with me' mod mentioned? Cheers for this btw :-)

Works with WOTC.
WaterFowl 3 Sep, 2017 @ 4:19pm
I use this mod and the game doesn't crash - I'm not sure it even needs to be updated

@Melancholia:
Thanks for letting us know, and thanks for this mod.
Emily  [author] 3 Sep, 2017 @ 1:27am
No longer active and I don't own WoTC.

I agree with Dragon32. -bg- is a quality modder and I'd suggest you use his Bleedout Duration Customizer if it does indeed work with WoTC.
Dragon32 31 Aug, 2017 @ 11:05am
@Malidictus:
I replaced this with -bg-'s "Bleedout Duration Customizer" (no override) and the INI values from this mod. I'm not sure if -bg-'s mod works with WoTC though. He, at least, is active.
Malidictus 31 Aug, 2017 @ 4:53am
Do we know if the mod-maker is still active?
Booker DeWitt Esq. 30 Aug, 2017 @ 7:43am
Does it work now?
Crusader 28 Aug, 2017 @ 6:04am
I hope you will update this awesome mod for War of the Chosen. :)
TamTroll 4 Aug, 2017 @ 8:53pm
looks interesting. but i'm afraid i'm having trouble with the customization thing.

i want the base bleedout chance to be something around 10-20% chance, something that's still low chance so that it doesn't make the game stupidly easy, just let bleedouts happen a little bit more often.

Any advice on what the files would have to look like for something like that? i think i'm on commander difficulty, mainly just looking for a way to make it so rookies have at least a slight chance of survival and veterens still have a good chance of dying, just slightly less chance.
Doc_Calm 28 Jun, 2017 @ 3:02pm
I now recommend using Easy Unit Customizer with the following two lines:
+ModifyUnitAbilities=(UnitTemplateName="Soldier", AddAbilities=("Resilience"))
+ModifyUnitAbilities=(UnitTemplateName="Soldier", AddAbilities=("Sustain"))
This achieves an almost identical effect & it's GREAT! It means you can take a beating, but avoid death & random deaths due to enemy criticals.

Will this work with longwar 2? The new mod you made says something about compatibility, but I like this one more :)

@Melancholia:
Seems he's spammed a whole bunch of mod discussions with his completely inconsequential award announcement. Idiot.
Phantom 6 Dec, 2016 @ 12:51pm
Hello I just saw that this mod overrides the X2Effect_BleedingOut.
Phantom 21 Nov, 2016 @ 11:43am
Does this mod override something? Which files does it edit? Is it a pure ini edit? thanks
xThrottle Geek 21 Aug, 2016 @ 6:17am
So, is this mod abandoned?
DAOWAce 5 Aug, 2016 @ 4:52am
Not sure which mod is causing this issue, but if a soldier is bleeding out, they're registered as fully healthy when the mission is over, at least, if stabilized (haven't tried leaving them bleeding).

I've got Make Heals Persist, It's Just a Spark and Stabilize Me running alongside this. Based on this mod's age, and other reported issues with unconscious soldiers, I have to assume it's this mod causing the issue.

I used this mod to stop myself from save scumming (also playing with 6 fully custom soldiers with voicepacks, can't have a death), but I guess I'll have to let it go now. Besides, my squad is full of max rank soldiers and I have the GTS perk, so maybe it's unneeded now.
Phantom 27 Jul, 2016 @ 6:06am
Okay so we know it is this mod or the stabilize me mod or a combination of them which is causing that bug.
totalimmortal 26 Jul, 2016 @ 5:27pm
@Phantom: I did NOT have Field Medic, but I DID have Stabilize Me (though I did not use Stabilize Me on the soldier that got bugged, I used the standard Specialist stabilize ability).
test 22 Jul, 2016 @ 11:13pm
@Panthom The second I disabled this mod and loaded that game, everything returned to normal but who knows ... I do have other mods that add custom classes to the game so that might be it but I'd rather disable this mod and keep those and not the other way around.
Phantom 21 Jul, 2016 @ 11:53am
hello i can confirm that this mod works with all LWS mods. At least the bleeding out on rookies work.
3dahs 21 Jul, 2016 @ 11:47am
What is the number after the semi colon? So if the bleedout base is 25% and you get +0.50% bleedout chance per will above 0. So right off the bad a rookie with 40 will would have a 45% chance of bleeding out?
Phantom 18 Jul, 2016 @ 2:59am
@totalimmortal: that was the same bug i encounterd once as you can read in my post. Did you used one of the mentioned mods? so we can exclude the mods who are working?
Phantom 18 Jul, 2016 @ 2:55am
other question: is this mod fully compatibel with LW Perk Pack?
Phantom 18 Jul, 2016 @ 2:54am
@test: i also encountered that bug once in a random mission before the dlc was published. I used also the bleedout mod, but i do not think it is caused by this mod. I think it was because of the field medic soldier class or with the Stabilize Me mod or a combination of them. In the past i posted a bug report in the field medic discussion, where you can read more info. Did you also used one of these mods?
test 16 Jul, 2016 @ 11:33pm
The new mission in the new DLC is bugged with this mod by the way. If you got unconcious soldiers and you take the lift to the next level with the rest of the team you end up with some weird stuff .... i dont have a screenshot but those uncouncious soldiers also spawn but you cant use them and they are with their arms and legs streched ... i've disabled the mod and re-loaded the game without it. So far so good.
mR.MaG0o 16 Jul, 2016 @ 3:13pm
@Apollo, I'm no math expert, but the formula reads "random(1-200) <= 50 + WILL"; supposing will = 0 you have a 1/4 or 25% base chance to bleed where each additional point of will = 0.5% chance increase.
If u want 10% the "BLEEDOUT_BASE" should be -20 (with each will point = 0.5% inc)
Additionaly, with "stay with me" to get to 20% u should change "BLEEDOUT_BONUS_ROLL" to a 100, but on this case each point of Will will be 1% increase.
Hope it helps a little.
Evan 9 Jul, 2016 @ 8:07am
I believe so, works for me now.
test 8 Jul, 2016 @ 9:28pm
So, in the end, does this still work fine with latest update?
Evan 2 Jul, 2016 @ 7:53pm
I had that haapen to me too total, with a different mod, its probably related to either the dlc or its *Wipes off sunglasses* Xcom, baby.
Apollo 2 Jul, 2016 @ 4:58pm
Anybody have any idea?
totalimmortal 1 Jul, 2016 @ 1:42am
I just got a weird bleed out bug while using this mod (I haven't changed the INI). A soldier was reduced to 0 HP and bled out instead of dying. But after I stabilized him, instead of being increased to 1 HP and made "Unconscious" he was increased to 1 HP and the game started to register him as fully revived... in part. He could use abilities and attack from where he lay but the game still showed him as sprawled on the ground (so if I told him to fire his weapon he'd stand on his head (!) and fire it, then fall back down). The UI showed that he could move, but if I tried to move him, it used up the AP but the character didn't move anywhere. In essence it turned him into a flailing, ragdolling turret. I've never had this happen before, but I think this is the only mod I'm using that affects bleedout--anyone had this happen? For what it's worth the character in question is a custom class (a Gifted from the Psi Rookies mod).
Apollo 28 Jun, 2016 @ 9:14am
My 5% in my below post should just be "25%"
Apollo 28 Jun, 2016 @ 9:12am
This is a really dumb question but I'm having trouble figuring out what to use in the INI. I think my 5% is too high. I want it to be like this:

Base chance: 10%
Increase .50% per will above 0
3-5 turns

With Stay With Me

Base chance: 20%
Increase .80% per will above 0
4-6 turns

What do my INI settings need to be?
Dio Off-Brando 18 Jun, 2016 @ 2:10pm
Thank god this was here, i got tired of hitting load when all my rookies decided that when a gatekeeper teleports in everybody should panic and die.
Vint 19 May, 2016 @ 11:57am
@Hybridon #SAFADINHO: I've been playing with it for a bit now. Seems to be working properly. I've had 3 or 4 soldiers bleed out instead of dying.
Kanan 16 May, 2016 @ 6:09am
Any confirmation if this still works after the DLC?
DrGrouch 16 May, 2016 @ 5:59am
There's a bug that makes it so soldiers who are bleeding out and are left behind will still be alive and back in base instead of getting captured
General Jah 15 May, 2016 @ 4:18pm
call me a poon but i just failed a commander iron man game - without this mod and I had zero of my soldiers actually bleed out to save. That is pretty ridiculous imo and not balanced. I think this mod will actually improve balance in the early game especially.

thanks!
Taylem 13 May, 2016 @ 5:06pm
Seems to work fine for me ... :)
deathmaster snikch 12 May, 2016 @ 12:20pm
I think new dlc broke it
INTERWEBS!!! 3 May, 2016 @ 8:32pm
i'm a bit confused as to how to change the chances of bleedout, specifically how do I change what the bleed out base chance is, and where it starts adding based on will and by how much it adds
bat592 29 Apr, 2016 @ 10:12am
Love it, love it, love it.
Emily  [author] 23 Apr, 2016 @ 4:04pm
@Tiger's Eye Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\621423047\Config\XComGameCore.ini
BLEEDOUT_BASE=0
That'll reduce it to 0% + 0.50% per Will, and 0% + 0.67% per Will with Stay With Me.
Tiger's Eye 23 Apr, 2016 @ 10:51am
What changes would I have to make to have a 0% base chance to bleed out but all the other changes of your mod remaining as they are?
JayBee 🔰 21 Apr, 2016 @ 11:22am
It's a great mod! :)

Melancholia helped get it fully integrated into Partisan War and that's been super. =)
/!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 21 Apr, 2016 @ 11:01am
Very useful mod! Thanks alot!!
