My mood doesn't affect the boltcaster that I recall
1. Go to the mod file in your steamapps/workshop/content/268500/622012633
2. Open RiflesforAllClasses.XCOMMODFILE with your notepad
3. Change the content to this:
[mod]
publishedFileId=622012633
Title=Rifles for All Classes
description=This mod allows all classes to use a rifle as their primary weapon in [XCOM2] and [WOTC]
And it will appear in your modloader for you to enable again. Hope this helps!
*Basically removing the additional info that was put into the XCOMMODFILE enables it to be detected again. Dont know why it works but it worked for me :)
I manually removed the mod files from my system, unsubbed, re-subbed, and the mod isn't in the Loader List. I'll figure it out eventually.
Is it working for anyone at the moment?
I have updated 'Rifles for All Classes' to support War of the Chosen. Thank you for your comments and your support.
I am crazy sick right now, but I'll look at it in the next few weeks.
Though Snipers have squadsight, they cannot squadsight with pistol (for a good reason) implying it is weapon based. YET there are instances hacking security post grants Squadsight for the whole squad implying it is skill based.
Combining the two: IMO, some weapons are allowed to squadsight as long as said soldier have the specific perk while some weapons are blacklisted.
But if you find anything not working as expected, let me know.

Would you be able to make a mod that only gives the Assualt Rifle to Grenadiers?
Squad Sight is an ability associated with the Sniper, not the weapon.
I'll take care of that as soon as I get some time off.
I just added it myself into classdata.ini .
It does not work with WOTC because you have to edit the WOTC ClassData.ini located in:
"...\Steam\steamapps\common\XCOM 2\XCom2-WarOfTheChosen\XComGame\Config"
Did not know but how nice: You can give sniper rifles to Reapers and such things :D
This mod is pretty simple, and it just adds a line to the class weapons list to add rifles.
If there's another mod that makes changes to the soldier classes, it may overwrite my changes.
If you figure out what is causing it, I would love to know <3.
I guess that could say that limiting the XCOM Armory to the XCOM classes would help preserve the uniqueness of the Resistance Classes and help keep them feeling separate.
I and it seems-another subjective judgement on my part-that the Skirmishers would be better served using the basic AR over the Bullpup, so having access to it might shift the balance noticeably away from the use of their unique gear.

I wanted to see if I could request that when you begin to look at WOTC if a version could this mod could be made that only applies to the basix XCOM classes?
I think that would be more realistic, and to borrow from XCOM:UFO Defense, it would be cool if the weight of their gear impacted movement as well.
Unfortunately, that's out of scope for this mod. My intention is to deliver a very specific feature that plays well with other mods.
When I was in the Army I trained in the M16 and a sidearm, or in another case "training" I was issues the M60 and a sidearm. (Also whats up with the revolver modled pistol when most military and paramilitary carry automatics)
I was thinking that soldiers should be able carry their primary weapon and be allowed a secondary like the rifle,pistol, or maybe something like the LW2 SMG.
Any change of one of these for WoTC?
