Awesome mod, like it :steamhappy:
Zeonista 15 Dec, 2019 @ 10:49am
This is another mandatory cosmetic mod.
Lex  [author] 21 Mar, 2018 @ 3:50am
You would have to edit the arc file for that helmet in Capnbubs mod.
Klaus von Klempt 21 Mar, 2018 @ 12:13am
When I use this mod with Capnbubs accessories, the Kevlar 1 Balaclava helmet has the Lower Face Props disabled. Is there a way to enable them?
3dahs 20 Mar, 2018 @ 2:01pm
Thank you!
Lex  [author] 28 Dec, 2017 @ 4:46am
Great. Have fun playing :D
Cryorah 27 Dec, 2017 @ 11:28pm
IT WORKED! Thank you so much!!!
Cryorah 27 Dec, 2017 @ 11:12pm
Gotcha, I did see stuff about that actually. I will try to download the DLC and Capnbubs accessories and see if it works, thank you :D
Lex  [author] 27 Dec, 2017 @ 8:37pm
This mod doesn't add new hoods only modifies existing head wear to work with more face options. Numbered helmets usually mean that you don't have either Capnbubs Accessories Pack and/or the Resistance Warrior DLC. If that's the case you would have to edit the xcomcontent.ini in the mods folder and delete the entries.

here is a pic showing you what happens when I have the mod downloaded.. any idea how to fix this? :/
Cryorah 27 Dec, 2017 @ 8:13pm
Hey so I tried downloading this mod, but everytime I go in game to check the new hoods all I see is (helmet / hat 14/15/16/17) and that's it.. I'm really confused, I tried deleting some files and tried unsubscribing and subscribing again but no luck, any idea what this glitch is in my game? (I tried making a fresh save too and it didn't work) also when I scroll over the helmet / hat option it's just him with his haircut, one with haircut and beard, one with just haircut .. any idea?
KnightOwlToo 14 Sep, 2017 @ 5:34pm
Just wanted to thank you for getting the vanilla version back up so fast when the combined version didn't work out... Thanx! :-D
Lex  [author] 10 Sep, 2017 @ 7:21pm
WotC version is done and up. Link in the description. Enjoy.
UATUU 10 Sep, 2017 @ 3:41pm
Looking forward to this, thanks.
Lex  [author] 10 Sep, 2017 @ 3:02pm
Well, this version here is for vanilla. The dedicated WotC version is in the works. Actually I'm just checking every face prop combination now to see if there are any major clipping problems to iron out and then it will be done. So, release will be... soon-ish.
(sNm)*Hatred 10 Sep, 2017 @ 2:32pm
I have that issue now as well with the WOTC compability. love your work, i hope to get back to playing with soldiers with two sets of nightgoggles.
-love hatred
Lex  [author] 10 Sep, 2017 @ 5:48am
Not sure. The beta is uploaded and running already but I still have to add support for capnbubs stuff and some minor adjustments for props that are clipping too much especially with the DLC items.
Landgreen 9 Sep, 2017 @ 8:40pm
so when would the WOTC comp version will come out?
Kicked_Bucket 9 Sep, 2017 @ 6:09pm
I'm not sure if any else has said this yet (someone probably already did) but, Thank You for working so hard on this, even if you're also doing it for yourself aswell. Its a really good mod.
Mr Critterfur 9 Sep, 2017 @ 5:01pm
I just did load anyway. I don't think I actually used the free the hood mod in this playthrough. So I don't think it affected anything.
Lex  [author] 9 Sep, 2017 @ 1:28pm
Just be sure to make a backup of your saves if you plan to use the "Remove missing Mods for WotC" mod. Better save than sorry if something goes really, really wrong.
Lex  [author] 9 Sep, 2017 @ 1:26pm
For me every single savegame gives me the warning as I start the game every few minutes with and without my mods for testing purposes.
Lex  [author] 9 Sep, 2017 @ 1:23pm
@Mr Critterfur As said the "Remove missing Mods for WotC" mod should help. But technically playing without the mod and bypassing the warning shouldn't be much of an issue as FTH only adds some props while using vanilla assets.
DrZoom 9 Sep, 2017 @ 1:05pm
@Mr Critterfur Try the "Remove Missing Mods for WotC" Mod. I havent had the chance to really test it but it appears to work for some people.
Mr Critterfur 9 Sep, 2017 @ 10:55am
Ok, so I have been playing WotC for two days straight, and now I tried to load it, and I get the mod warning.

Can anyone explain to me how to fix it? I'm not good or knowledgable at modding. And I realize you had issues. Just sucks cause I was well into the game (2 chosen down, working on the third, starting Shadow Chamber missions).

DrZoom 9 Sep, 2017 @ 9:36am
ok i did that. so far so good. will update if anything happens. Thx for the help!
Lex  [author] 9 Sep, 2017 @ 9:15am
There should be a button "load anyway". Also, there is a mod called "Remove Missing Mods for WotC" that should help in this case. You should read the description before using it though.
DrZoom 9 Sep, 2017 @ 9:00am
WoTC. As i clicked on the latest save the "if you load this game there could be problems" message popped up. Savegame is not from a mission. I then unsubscribed and resubscribed to the mod. for some reason i hoped this would help. I don't know how to see the error log.
Lex  [author] 9 Sep, 2017 @ 8:46am
What's the error log saying? Vanilla or WotC? In mission or in the strategic view?
DrZoom 9 Sep, 2017 @ 8:43am
hey. yeah so i can't load my save either. Is there a way to save this?
Astral 9 Sep, 2017 @ 4:05am
Thank you for reverting this, I was able to load and unbind it now. I'll wait for the WotC compatible version. I appreciate you fixing it so quickly.
Lex  [author] 9 Sep, 2017 @ 3:42am
@Chad well, depends on what you understand by "soon". Personally I plan to be done this week. Not sure if possible though.

@Ehrlich Well, if I remember right I tried using the tags once and it didn't really work anyway so I forgot about it somewhere down the line.

@Derr Well, you got at least farther than me with the addon I guess ;)
Derr Hans 9 Sep, 2017 @ 12:09am
Lex its ok, was only the 3rd mission, so it easy to restart. Maybe i get a flawless Gatecrasher this time. I'll just patiently wait until you done cuz the mod has been amazing sinds the day it came in the workshop.
Sirabot 9 Sep, 2017 @ 12:02am
Oi! Lex. Free the hood doesn't have the Soldier customization tag. Has it really gone this long without it? lol
caboose 8 Sep, 2017 @ 9:54pm
I tried playing the game with the most recent version of the mod that you uploaded, and the cigars/cigarettes still show up, which is a good sign. Nonetheless, do you plan on releasing the WotC verison anytime soon?
Lex  [author] 8 Sep, 2017 @ 3:37pm
If you give me some more infos I may be able to find a way to save your save, like an error log or something.
Derr Hans 8 Sep, 2017 @ 3:30pm
I started a new campaign with the update mod, and didnt knew it rerolled.
Got in a mission where i need to save a soldier and everytime i make a move wit him the game crash. Its one from my pool with a long hood and a mask so using the freethehood part.

Long story short, its ok it crash it bed time .. i hope it works tomorrow :P
Safiye 8 Sep, 2017 @ 2:07pm
Oh, thank you for quick and kind answer. I think your work was quite difficult for as I know original and WoTC are made fairly different systems.
I just hope you don't overdo yourself. :)
Lex  [author] 8 Sep, 2017 @ 2:02pm
Long story short getting the mod to work for both, vanilla and WotC didn't work out so well for some people and I had to roll back to the old version. The updated WotC version will now be a seperate mod for addon users only.
Safiye 8 Sep, 2017 @ 1:53pm
Whoa. I'm checking this page everyday nowdays, but there are so many comments within a few hours...!
Is there someone kind and nice to fill me in the current situation...?
Lex  [author] 8 Sep, 2017 @ 10:50am
Great, I'm off for a few hours because of work. Will check in later to see if someone else still has issues.
Greslin 8 Sep, 2017 @ 10:47am
@Lex: I'm guessing so, yes. Thanks again.
Greslin 8 Sep, 2017 @ 10:47am
@dday4you: The issue isn't that we're "freaking out". The issue is that Steam automatically updates mods and there's no real way to stop it, except for unsubscribing. So every time that happens, that's another mod we have to dig up from Nexus or our own backups and install manually. And if you're using AML, you have to edit the XMod file to prevent AML from autosubbing it again. All so that the mod can break on BOTH WotC and Legacy.
Lex  [author] 8 Sep, 2017 @ 10:46am
@Greslin So, is it working again?
Greslin 8 Sep, 2017 @ 10:43am
Thank you!
Lex  [author] 8 Sep, 2017 @ 10:39am
@Astral the last time someone had a similar problem it was because they changed a game folder to "read only" for some fatigue mod.
Lex  [author] 8 Sep, 2017 @ 10:24am
Rollback should be done. Good thing I didn't delete the vanilla old dev tool.
Comment if something is not as it should be. For vanilla at least.

WotC will get it's own version with some extras later. Will have to go to my second job soon so not sure if I'll be done before that.
Sirabot 8 Sep, 2017 @ 10:15am
Just woke up and loaded up my game. Free the hood missing, "load save file anyway? Right after I got a perfect start playthrough of WotC going. Sad. Had to quit, enable the mod to disable mod hooks. I've been fiddling with mods for like 2 days straight. make it stop XD lolol
Lex  [author] 8 Sep, 2017 @ 10:02am
That's exactly what I'm doing right now. Vanilla should be up in a few minutes WotC will follow after that.
caboose 8 Sep, 2017 @ 9:53am
Would it be possible to push out a separate WotC-ified version of the mod for WotC players and then revert this one back to the vanilla XCOM 2 version?
