Vanilla German tanks can pass through them with little or no trouble. Same for British Cromwells.

US Sherman tanks can't pass through the gatehouse at the NW, by the ammo point, nor by the checkpoint up the north ramp nearby. Same for Britain's Firefly. Not sure about Russian M4C Sherman though.

The story is a secret - but i will say so much: A german spy got caught by the FBI in 1944 and was brought to Alcatraz. Now some german specialists want to free him ;)
