What is the command to add it to the inventory?
Radec898 17 Sep, 2023 @ 2:45pm
Playing wotc with 100+ mods. Can confirm that it works
zin 20 Mar, 2023 @ 1:27pm
You said you’d rebuild this for WotC in 2018? Still nothing? :(
zin 20 Mar, 2023 @ 1:27pm
@259 High damage? But it has reduced damage.
259 30 Jul, 2020 @ 4:05pm
Yeah so seems to work fine in WotC, and due to its high damage and unlimited ammo, it's extremely effective against the Lost. Wish you could add weapon mods to it though.
Rizencraft 16 Jun, 2020 @ 8:24am
After doing some testing, this appears to work just fine on WOTC.
wargamesmaster 25 Mar, 2020 @ 10:24pm
Can't wait for the WotC version.
Aranha Maluco 19 Oct, 2019 @ 10:34am
where you waint for to update to WOTC ?
Sumatris 24 Mar, 2019 @ 1:32pm
*bump* How's the WotC update coming along? I'd really like to give this gun a shot.
orisn 13 Oct, 2018 @ 1:05pm
does it work in WOTC?
Echo 12 Aug, 2018 @ 12:47pm
Nice. I just started a new campaign.
Hex: Rauschepauli 12 Aug, 2018 @ 11:52am
thats great news. really liked this mod.
Chonsu 12 Aug, 2018 @ 11:04am
Sweet! :D ...and welcome back ;)
themattylee  [author] 12 Aug, 2018 @ 10:28am
Hey folks. I'm finally getting back into XCOM and looking to rebuild this for WotC. Will require a rebuild, but shouldn't be too tricky.
Echo 12 Aug, 2018 @ 8:24am
I'm surprised people still use hard drives for their work... I mean, SSD's are cheap enough as it is...
Chonsu 9 Oct, 2017 @ 12:40pm
@Celebi: Sorry, but I asked a question. Nothing more, nothing less and the author himself add a comment after this to explain the situation. Don't know, who you are and how you are connected to themattylee, but you are very passive/agressive between the lines.
themattylee  [author] 6 Oct, 2017 @ 7:42pm
Yeah, sorry guys. I lost the original files during a hard drive crash, so an update would require a full rebuild from scratch. It's technically possible, but I just don't have the time for it right now. I'm so swamped that I honestly haven't even picked up WoC yet.
Zeph 14 Sep, 2017 @ 5:16pm
@Chonsu Pleaseread precious comments before butting the "WOTC PLZ" in every mod. They literally just said they can't update the mod ever
Chonsu 14 Sep, 2017 @ 1:39pm
Any plans for WOTC? oO
themattylee  [author] 11 Aug, 2017 @ 3:05pm
Hey guys... sorry. I've been working on some projects of my own, and in the meantime I lost a harddrive and didn't have the most recent dev files for this backed up. I haven't had the opportunity to rebuild and update it. I kept telling myself I'd get to it eventually, but at this point I honestly don't believe that I will have the time in the forseeable future.

Thanks everyone that offered feedback. Some of it was really good, but I didn't have the opportunity to implement all of it. Hope you enjoyed using it as much as I did.
Slappy 18 Jul, 2017 @ 3:52pm
could you change the name to psionic repeater?
John McCreedy 12 Jul, 2017 @ 12:57pm
Like others have said, the weapon is rather underwhelming given how late in the game you get it. Given it's a Psi Weapon is should at least ignore armour completely. It either needs to come earlier (perhaps linked with the Psi Lab and Plasma) or be substantially more powerful than its non-Psi counterparts.
Hex: Rauschepauli 8 Jul, 2017 @ 3:33am
nah it works. u just need to use the additem command for it
Nikibanzai💀 7 Jul, 2017 @ 10:08pm
I think it's not compatible with LW2, the modder is long dead too, so better unsubscribe it
darktoto 25 Apr, 2017 @ 2:47am
LW2 compatible ? if yes please add "lw2" in the tag
Sarle 21 Mar, 2017 @ 6:45am
people are asking it to be after gatekeeper autopsy ? wtf, i already have plasma weapons when i see my first gatekeepers, thus again rendering it completely useless.
Hex: Rauschepauli 18 Feb, 2017 @ 8:39am
so does this work with LW2?
All Thriller No Philler 10 Feb, 2017 @ 10:39am
VERY cool weapon, but it DOES feel a little underwhelming...
Maybe reduce the close range accuracy boost, give it Psi damage (in doing so letting it ignore cover), have it roll a small random chance of inflicting a Psi effect (not including mind control of course), or just have the weapon have a stat increase that compounds with a Psi amp.
Any one of those would be a really neat addition, and something that would make it viable and not outshined by a modded Plasma rifle!

Great mod, will keep my eye on it to see if you do any further work to it. Thanks again!
[HN] 26 Aug, 2016 @ 11:34am
A nice tweek I could recomande would be to make that weapon do Spi damage.
JiMMy 15 Aug, 2016 @ 3:57am
i think only one of this weapons should drop from the first avatar you kill just like the alien hunter weapons. this would make it a lot more lore friendly too.
desolationsmith 11 Jul, 2016 @ 2:38pm
Interesting, but the fact that it only becomes avaliable just before the end game really does limit the usefulness of the weapon. Nice job though.
José 31 May, 2016 @ 7:54pm
Would you consider bumping this tech down to a Gatekeeper autopsy and raising its price?
snowy007 29 May, 2016 @ 7:26am
Very cool weapon. But unless you can make it to support weapon upgrades, i don't see much benefit in using it. The medium & long range accuracy boost is useless compared to a plasma rifle with an advanced scope. It will just have lower close range accuracy.
Sure, it ignores one point of armor and doesn't require reloading... but personally i'm more concerned about actually hitting the enemy, and not about that single extra damage i could have done if it ignored 1 armor. Which apperently is usless again compared to a plasma rifle as it does 1 point less damage. (Or is the description wrong? In-game it tells me it does 1 point less max-damage. 7-8 instead of 7-9)

Also, during the 2 playthroughs i did with this mod enabled, i only ever used it in the 2 final missions. People already mentioned this, but it would be great if it was available a bit earlier so it can actually be used more.
Zigg Price 17 May, 2016 @ 8:55am
Any word on if this mod is still being supported and if it is going to be moved to behind the gatekeeper autopsy?
Emeyin 21 Apr, 2016 @ 7:31pm
Please let us get this sooner than the Avatar autopsy and also be able to change who can use it. I really like the graphics of this weapon.
PySickle 21 Apr, 2016 @ 10:55am
Nice mod. I would love if I was able to change classes that can use that rifle since I have a Necromancer mod installed. Still, good job.
Assasin189CZ 8 Apr, 2016 @ 12:21pm
how to make it
Whyte One 7 Apr, 2016 @ 7:16am
I love this mod. I will say that I agree with some of the other posts however. I feel the lateness at which this is available is too much. I also think that if there is a way to scale damage based on your Psi ability then that is how this weapon should work. Other than these two small opinions...i do love this mod. Ever considered a Psi specific armor set?
Nitewolf 20 Mar, 2016 @ 10:34am
To be honest makes more sense if it is available after we KILL an avatar rather than we autopsy one. If you can make that change or even better, let us customize when we get it on the .ini files it would be perfect.
Strato Jimbus 12 Mar, 2016 @ 5:26am
Great mod! How about scaling the rifles damage based on the soldiers Psi Offense?
Kanan 9 Mar, 2016 @ 9:34am
Dunno if you have seen this, but this reddit thread shows how to get rid of unecessary files in XCOM 2 mods that only make it harder to load:

https://www.reddit.com/r/xcom2mods/comments/48c8v3/psavoicepacks_and_other_mods_to_a_lesser_extent/

If you have already, then just ignore my post :)
Kazoot 8 Mar, 2016 @ 10:08am
So any word on when this rifle might become available post-gatekeeper instead of Avatar autopsy? I really like this rifle, but it's kinda redundant atm unless you keep playing at the endgame continuously.
Wren 1 Mar, 2016 @ 9:59am
Nah it's not available for me to tinker with, I did however try changing the projectile types of the standard beam rifles. lol.

No dice it completely ignored the change.
themattylee  [author] 1 Mar, 2016 @ 9:53am
burning - That would be in the .uc files. When I add mod support, I'll definitely put the variable into the ini so people can play with it.

zender - Yeah. I'll be moving it to post-gatekeeper with a future update. It's set in the .uc files, which should be in the classes folder. I'm not sure you have access. I think the mods are compiled when you download, so not sure if the classes folder and the .uc files are preserved (haven't really played around with compiled mods at all).
Wren 28 Feb, 2016 @ 4:01pm
hm. You can only get this after the avatar's autopsy?

that's late late game lol. This kind of weapon is sort of what i expected from the beam rifle's, which bore me big time. One or two on the squad is fine, so i wound up editing the ini's of the mag rifle's to match their damage.

Balancing the game is one thing. But only so long as you get cool stuff throughout the playthrough. there aren't that many missions you can enjoy it as it stands unless you prolongue the game =p

Cool that we can use it though, im gunna be checking the ini to see if i can get earlier access to it. since im already rolling beam rifle's.

No mod folder. Finally found it in steamapps/workshop/content I don't know why nexus is so far ahead of workshop in the simplicity of modding.
Ivan Vlad Vodka 28 Feb, 2016 @ 12:35am
Is their any way to give it more upgrade slots? I've been messing arround with the XComGameData_PsiRifle ini but nothing :(
themattylee  [author] 27 Feb, 2016 @ 11:21pm
Jesse - I'll get around to it eventually. I just went to sign up but there is apparently a membership cost. I'm already in my pajamas and my wallet is in my jeans on the floor next to t. he bed, and I am not risking my wife's wrath if I wake her up going in to try to get it. :D

I'll get around to it eventually, but this is mostly just something I do to relax after work (I relax after a long day of coding by coming home and writing more code... because I'm crazy). So I don't put a lot of pressure on myself with these except for fixing bugs. .
themattylee  [author] 27 Feb, 2016 @ 11:14pm
Sam-Oh, weird. I'll look into that. Technically, the clip is 99 (with the actual ammo count hidden). That's how pistols are handled. I'll look into why that's happening.
wreck- There should be a /config folder in the mod folder. There are a couple of inis in there, and they should be commented enough to make sense.
◬ TRIΛNGLE MΛN ◬ 27 Feb, 2016 @ 10:21pm
Sorry for the dumb question... Can someone tell me where the ini file is located so I can edit it? Thanks!
