Reversible Tram AI would really make this something special! Then maybe do a P.O. tram turntable at the end of each line for looks...?

@wrightwinger Use the Advanced Vehicle Options mod to change its speed

this streetcar looks amazing, but is SO FRIGGIN slow, that it always forms a train with all the other street cars behind it.. it jams up the system.

I don't suppose you could make a "Mr. Rogers Neighborhood" Trolley version of this? https://www.whereandwhen.com/_img/_editorial/2016/summer/Mister-Rogers-with-Trolley(1).jpg It'd be fun to have this, especially when playing one of the "Pittsburgh" maps that some folks have made. Even if it's just a recolor and not an exact match of the open car Trolley, it would be fun. That said, great job on this one, it really looks amazing!

stockjr97, it's perfect! Can you please convert more vehicles, buildings and people from CIM1 DLC like Amsterdam and Tokyo? By the way cable cars do not need electricity, they use cable between tracks. Anyway, great job!

Try freezing transformations and deleting type history, then export to .fbx.

@stockjr97 i read the tutorial and tried to copy a bus. I converted it to fbx/jpg but it doesn't show up in the asset editor?

@BloodyPenguin
GS File Viewer: https://www.citiesskylines.de/filebase/index.php/Entry/4-GS-File-Viewer/
.object importer for Blender: https://www.citiesskylines.de/index.php/Thread/2825-Blender-Im-Exporter/
DDS Viewer: http://ddsviewer.com/Download.aspx

Once you've put the converted .FBX and .jpg/.png into the Cities: Skylines import folder, you should be able to open them up in the asset editor.

@BloodyPenguin
The model files are saved as a .object file (NOT .OBJ! THOSE ARE TWO DIFFERENT FILE EXTENSIONS!) You can extract those files to anywhere you like. .object files are unique to the CIM game. As far as I know, Blender is the only program that can open them, but you'll need to download an addon to do so. Once you've downloaded the addon and installed it to Blender, you can now import that .object file into Blender, then export as a .FBX file.

The textures are saved as a .dds file. You'll need a DDS Viewer to open them and export them as a .jpg or .png (I don't think Cities: Skylines can read .dds files).

@BloodyPenguin
The CIM models are packed in .gs files in the game directory (C:/>ProgramFiles(X86)>Steam>Steamapps>Common>Cities in Motion or C:/>Users>[Your Username]>My Documents> Cities in Motion). Most of the models are in the objects.gs file. The GSFileViewer can open those files.

Once you download that program, run it and click Open GS file..., then navigate to where those gs files. Once the program finished loading the file, expand the .gs file and you'll see many different folders. These folders contain everything from the models to the textures.

How do you convert CiM models? Do you have a special software for that?
