Very interesting Mod. Quite easy to win a Cultural victory, even on Immortal, especially if you have lots of City States. There also seems to be a glitch where you get extra currency each turn, which makes it even easier.

The Rose Otto doesn't work exactly as published but works nonetheless.

What I found really amusing was having a Bulgarian Rifleman with a 73 combat strength in the 1400's... it definitely pays to have a happy civilization with these guys lol

The improvement doesnt seem to be adding the luxury anymore, I was only running this mod and had 12 fields, all but two worked, and it didnt produce it at any time regardless of WLTKD or not. Sorry I don't have any more information.

Sorry, I was tired when I made that first post. Also, I think it was unnecessary of me to clarify that I had Events and Decisions on WITH Bulgaria in that second one. If I kew where Events and Decisions was I would report the bug there not here. I was tired not drunk.

Thanks for the actually good bug report. very few of those.
Basically, the WLTKD rose field is a different improvement, and it replaces the usual Rose Field at the start of a WLTKD. It seems like i forgot to get a code for the WLTKD Rose field to give you a rose otto luxury.

I'm here to report a bug.

First of all, Very nice MOD, one of my favorite Civs.

There is a problem regarding the Rose Otto luxury. I tested the rose field improvement and tried to produce at least 15 Rose Otto luxury (60 fields) to use as a trade in civs. One thing I noticed is that I start to loose the resource once a city starts the WLTKD. While providing double bonus to the city I loose the luxury as a result.

When I try making rose fields outside of city radius (cannot be worked on but still inside country borders), they do produce the luxury.

So my observation is that the problem is in rose fields that are producing extra bonuses are somehow different from the regular ones. Rose fields without WLTKD produce the luxury and when the city celebrates, no luxury.

Hope you can test this to confirm.

But Bulgaria doesn't effect events and decisions at all. So the crash isn't cause by Bulgaria.

Bulgaria update is uploading right now. It should fix the Leaderscreen, compatibilities (such as R.E.D and Cultural Diversity) and the icon.

Yea, I think its the J.E.D. modification for R.E.D. I got some Great War Inf. and they were same as vanilla - like all of my other units except for the Opalcentsi.

I don't exactly understand what you mean by that, but I am using a slight modification for R.E.D. It's insignificant, but I will mention it anyway: Just Ethnic Diversity pretty much removes the other qualities in R.E.D. except for - obviously - the ethnic diversity.

Oh, one more teensy little problem (I undestand if its aggravating to get the tiniest of details of problems in feedback, especially if it's not relevant.) is that I don't believe R.E.D. works with this mod. But I'm not in the industial yet, so it might still work.

I think the reason most modders don't do strategic is because its pretty lame (i don't mean to offend any toasters out there)

Also, something recognizable, rose fields don't appear in strategic view. I'd guess it's because an icon isn't set for it? Numerous mods have this kind of bug, but if you could find some way for the map on strategic to acknowledge the fact that an improvement exists, even if it reuses a different improvement icon, it'd be nice.

Difficult to plan where to station workers when I can't really tell what improvements exist. I guess I shouldn't be playing on strategic, but I shouldn't really be playing on a toaster either.

It also seems to adopt another leaders theme once I speak to them, but it only plays the leader themes once. Terra Nova loops.

When I begin to play, I am stuck hearing the "Terra Nova" menu theme. Is this deliberate? Or a bug? I'm only using RED Modpack, the CP and CBP, aswell as one other mod that has no effect on sound and UI files.

i can't change the texture names without lots of work, but there is a workaround. I'll make an update this weekend.

I really like the mod, nice job. There is only 1 thing I could suggest, is it possible to change the texture and names of the Bulgaria Roses files so that they don't conflict with the extra luxury mod? I was looking at your mod and it looks like you would have to get into the gr2 files somehow and change the texture names to something else.

I'm sorry to disappoint you with this mod. But theres already a few Bulgaria mods out there, this isn't the only one. So go see if those suit you better.

omg guys why? Just make Tzar Simeon with bonus while in golden age all your units can make forts and the golden age is twice longer, with units boyars/heavy cataphracts (something like that - horse unit) and instead of the castle you would have city fortification(gradishte) the graphics of this base would be like having two walls in city and you are done.

it should be compatible with R.E.D because of the ethnic units compatibility. Community Patch shouldn't effect anything either.

I can't use this mod because I believe it may not be compatible with the Community Patch on CivFanatics, could you make it compatible or tell me what I am doing wrong? Could you also make it compatible with R.E.D. Modpack? :steamhappy:

I have tried to civ out, although I may work on it towards different victories and time lengths.

Also, the summary of the civ has a fair amount of typos. I'd advise reading over it again. :cgrazz:

Plays nice on the path of diplomatic or cultural early on, and then a turning point occurs where you select domination or to continue your starting path. Domination provides you the luxuries you were trading for from other civs as well as those they wouldn't trade, and keeps your UU's unique promo intact if not enhancing it.

Definitely interesting, although I wouldn't say 'don't be scared to go to war if you feel you have to' is very accurate for the direction the civ has had flair in, as a domination victory is a very liable strategy for the units, improvement, and UA combined.

If this isn't the intended direction, I'd like to see each puppeted and razed city having a negative impact on your unit's strength regardless of happiness, and the rose fields bonus being trimmed if you house a large military, are currently razing a city, have negative happiness, etc.

To balance it, its only buildable on flat grassland.
