Hokey, so, this don't work with WOTC. That's fine. -bg- has another mod which removes tile snapping, and that's what everyone should look at.

go to XComGame.ini and remove everything under [SuppressableTargetingAbilitiesWOTC.X2Cursor_Suppressable]

Oh, and forgot to ask - if the STA mod is modular indeed, WHICH files/code lines should I remove to keep tile-snapping-relevant ones only...?

Scrolled through the comments and found out indeed that the only updated version is your Suppressable Targeting Abilities mod. However, I don't want any of the damage falloff/suppression tweaks, just the tile-snapping removal for grenades (but you're right, might as well be for all AoE items, makes sense).
In that sense, is your STA mod modular, meaning I can remove certain files to keep only the tile-snapping removal, or will it break it?
In the latter case, I'm afraid that mod's not for me, but unfortunately I've not found any alternative version anywhere in the Steam Workshop nor Nexusmods.
As to the non-WoTC version of this mod here, does it still work?

Hello, this mod unfortunately doesn't work for me, the grenade's yellow AoE disappears and my grenades are useless (I can throw them but they disappear and don't do any damage or other effect - smoke, EMP, whatever).
I tried both the WoTC "Grenade Throwing Tweaks" mod and the old "Non-tile-snapping grenades" mod but both do the same thing. When I remove the mods, grenades work again (although with the vanilla tile-snapping effect ofc). And it's not a question of mod compatibility since I don't have any other grenade mods installed...
So, is there a workaround or files to tweak to make the mod functional, as tile-snapping is really annoying in this game...? Thank you!

you are using the wrong version. You need the WOTC version. This is for non-WOTC and DOES NOT work in WOTC

This mod seems to break grenades in Legacy Ops - there is no radious indicator and they do no damage.

@-bg- yea its really dum that once the mod is off the workshop its remove from everyone local files as well. which kills a running canpain :)

Don't use this mod, use the updated one, this mod is no longer supported and is just left up so it don't disappear from other's local files because that's how steam workshop works.

@-bg- I move to this md for the Non-Snappy and i have enabled it in the ini file but i still get the bug where theres no tiles/radius bubble and the grenade does no dmg and can't figer why?

nope this feature is not integrated in new expansions, I said i will only update it if the new expansion breaks this mod, nowhere did i say it is integrated.

never said it was broken. Just if an update of some kind was gonna happen, just to make it seem like its not old as fuck and i dont have to delete it. I was just deleting a bunch of old mods since i havent played XCOM 2 in forever and decided to get back into it. But i started with cleaning out mods i had still from 2016 to march 2017. Thats why i asked. And i have not kept up with info on new expansions integrating this mechanic into the game already. If so, maybe a little notice that this mod is no longer needed would be great.

No, you want to use suppressable targeting abilities instead, and that mod will not be updated as the feature is already complete, unless the new expansion broke things.

The few other mods that are like this is all combined into that mod, I only leave these mods up so it don't suddenly disappeared from user's game.

i don't think we can remove snapping to target because i can't find such toggle for the targeting cursor. I will try experiment will other methods though.

Can I remove snapping to targets aswell?
It's quite inconvenient when chrissalid queen stands near sectopod and i cant throw a grenade inbetween them.

don't use this mod, use suppressable targeting abilities, these are legacy mods that does not support additional abilities from other mods.

suppressable targeting abilities should cover that, if spark's rocket launcher uses the same as that heavy weapon.
